Have a look at this and tell me their first priority is the children's ?, It's really quite sickening to read, but all too typical of the authorities.

What really grips my sh-t is that when my children were born I was a smoker and a drinker and I had a high risk occupation. If we were trying to adopt the authorities would never have let us. Because my then wife conceived naturally there was no state involvement.

Surely I this better to offer a loving home and environment than to discriminate against folks who have a less than perfect lifestyle as dictated by the holier than thou brigade.

It doesn't surprise me. People at the top of organisations do not see themselves blameworthy. They see it as failings at the bottom of the tree. Sadly what most of these people don't realise is that the way policy and proceedures are formulated emmanates from the top to the bottom. No doubt with good intentions, but sadly the people who do the actual work have their hands tied. And have no authority to change the rules other than to whistleblow. Which many do.

Voted but again if you read the article there is the confusion between smoking & vaping. Some still think it is the same thing. Ill considered sensationalist newspaper articles over the last few years have done the almost irreparable damage, I'm afraid.
