Everyone is right Honkey, no need to charge the batteries for 8 hours, they don't have any memory, so also no need to fully discharge them.
Certainly no need to leave your cartos 12 hours either. I wonder if you are getting confuddled eith some of the posts about steeping new juices?

OK OK! I won't do the poofy 8 hour charge thing. I have just got home from the pub having had a nice big drink. My cartos are filled. I will charge batteries at work tomorrow and finish at 4pm. So then.... will be my first vape.... let's go.

I can't see the point in this "condom method" tbh.. how is that any easier than just dripping drops into the carto?

I can't see the point in this "condom method" tbh.. how is that any easier than just dripping drops into the carto? It is the best method to avoid dry spots in the bottom of the cartomiser (where the coil is) because if you try vaping and the wadding is dry it will burn making the cartomiser taste burnt and once it does you cannot get rid of that burnt taste, you have to bin the carto. you only need to do this for the first fill, after just top off with 5 - 10 drops. Also the first few puffs may taste a bit weird whilst any primer fluid burns off the coil. Well? what's it like? lol

TBH I'm still having trouble getting over the confession by a fella that he read the instruction manual [no offence meant honkeykong - you are obviously a rare gem amongst the stubborn bricks of your gender]

we dont need to read instruction manuals. its inbuilt into our brains that we know everything. a bit like driving round a unfamiliar town, we dont need to ask directions! simples.
edit.... you did mean Bricks, didnt you?

I'll have you know tizer I am one of the very few people who have actually read the instructions on a tin of Heinz baked beans (as they used to be) and as a result, one of the even fewer who tried the method they used to recommend. This involved immersing the tin in simmering water for about 30 minutes. Unfortunately, I believe some people missed out the critical step of piercing the tin first........

Ok.... I've just had my first vape ever. The Riva with a Boge carto in filled with RY4 juice.
My impression is one of surprise at how much like having a "real" smoke it is. A lot more so than I expected.
Second.. the throat hit is really strong, the first one (a great big lungful) made me cough. Maybe the juice is too strong for me (24mg) or something.
The RY4, I think it does taste a lot like tobacco, yeah, and not a bad one at all. It does have a slightly burnt taste but hopefully that's just normal "warming up" and not that I've knackered the carto.
On the whole I'm very impressed with this.... can't wait to try different flavours..

Yipee Honkey! You might find that you need to adjust your drawing technique slightly when you're using an ecig, compared to a regular cigarette, to avoid the splutters. I don't tend to take the large inhales that I used to with a ciggie, more a series of little chugs, that I then hold the vapour in my mouth for a bit, before taking down & exhaling. The really important thing with any carto, is getting the first fill right to avoid any nasty burnt tastes . . . leaving it for 20-30mins after filling before using, gives the internal wadding time to absorb the juice.

I've tried the gingerbread... it was quite nice and bit more mellow than the RY4. My favourite so far is the vanilla tabac, it's very nice. URGH now I want to go and order loads more flavours to try...
