Sorry for late reply Q but life been a bit hectic here, was due at Silverstone Friday for first race Saturday, but economic situation meant team could not find co-driver for me and had to withdraw - next race June 20th Zandvoort Holland, cannot wait, just fingers crossed for co-driver.

Red Bull are just cry babies who are panicking because neither Merc or Ferrari will supply them engines while Renault are looking at entering as a constructor, but threatening to take you toys home is pathetic IMO.

I was, but didn't come on here.

Watched qually & couldn't believe the final minutes. Toto & Niki would have been jumping up & down, I would not have wanted to be in the briefing afterwards. Nico & Lewis acted like pillocks & nearly lost pole, as it was, Nico was deservedly pushed down a place. They are their own worse enemies if they're going to start the season this way. Mind you, if their minds are elsewhere, then other teams can go for it, hopefully Williams. Sadly, that won't include McLaren for a good while.

Didn't think it was that bad, a little unprofessional and risky as with a drying track they could have lost pole as you said jess. In the end only Rosberg lost out and it will be interesting to see how far his games go as Lewis pull ahead.

IF Lewis pulls ahead. While they carry on like today, anything could happen. The management seriously needs to rein these two in, or Ferrari will happily take the reins.

Could make for a bit of real racing though.

I think tim, one will become dominate and if today's incident shows anything it is that Rosberg feels that he need to do more than just drive as fast as he can, bit early doors though.  Ferrari may get some wins, but not a chance of a WC this year IMO.  The main thing that could derail Lewis & Merc this year is engine usage and reliability.

Yeah, you could be right about "if" VapingBad. I can't see Mercedes having too many worries with the engine though. The way the rules work now means it's basically the same one as last season, with only minor improvements. Much to McLaren's disadvantage (sadly).

I'm not a big Ferrari fan (or Vettel), but it was great to see Mercedes (& Hamilton) knocked off their perch...........

Yes, same here, shame it was Ferrari & Vettel that took the win over them, but at least there may well be a more interesting race for the championship.

Warning spoilers if you have not watched it





Ferrari & Vettel did the best job, Merc were just too hard on their tyres, had poor strategy and didn't save enough of the faster tyre from Saturday. No other race will be at such high temp and when Vettel and Lewis were on new tyres in the last stint they were almost exactly the same lap time until Lewis backed off, but Vettel was on the faster tyre, IIRC one sec a lap faster. I don't think they have found how to best set up the Merchs yet, Ferrari seem to be clearly best of the rest, it's a shame that Williams are falling back and Red Bull are a mess. It may be a different once the get to Europe, Red Bull and MacLaren should be a lot better. Lewis will have to work for the title, but as I see things it's his to lose.

E: got the rerun on and was wrong about the last stint tyres.

Just got the rerun on in the background and was just thinking that Ferrari may have trouble getting their tyres up to temp at the colder races and qualifying.

Surprise your watching it again. I Had difficulty watching it the first time. Only interesting bit when Hamilton said to radio guy stop talking to me when I am taking corners, Doh! given the fact the car does about 200mph or thereabouts and the circuit has a lot of corners. When is the radio guy(non technical) suppose to talk to him.

Looking forward to Mclaren and Button having a change of fortune.
