With the new F1 season almost upon us I was just wondering how many of our members will be up at the crack of dawn to watch the opening race? And also... what do you think about the lack of information regarding Alonso? Best tongue in cheek comment I've seen so far is that he was abducted by aliens, had a lizard type creature implanted in his body, this was revealed when he had his scan and he is now being held in Area 51

Can't wait Q , the Alonso situation is strange. he's a fantastic driver but would love to see Jenson get the better of him.

No point in me getting up at the crack of dawn - highlights on BBC cause I refuse to give Sky the money. Not bad mouthing Sky - more the beeb's fault for letting it go. Hopefully the merc's wont run away with it too early this year

I'll be British & supporting McClaren & in particular Jenson Button (as opposed to Hamilton) as normal, but don't expect too much from them this season, with the teething problems they're bound to have with the new Honda engine..........

I think we're all expecting Merecedes domination, and McLaren to struggle, and that's probably what will happen, but I hope Williams can continue the fine form from last year and perhaps get a win (or3) I resisted Sky for a long time, but there were a couple of progs that Mrs Q wanted, and when I approached Sky to get her channels I accidentally got Sky F1 thrown in as well

I used to have the top V/M package, so had Sky Sports, but just wasn't worth it to have F1 so that's binned and am back on the highlights bollocks again, bloody BBC

Yes, I've been watching all the testing & now can't wait for the season to begin & I will certainly be up to watch. Sad that Alonso won't be taking part, but I'll bet Magnussen is jumping like the above smiley!!

Been following the pre season testing and the battle between Williams, Ferrari & Red Bull will be interesting and hope to see Williams build on last years success. Ricardo vs Botas are going to give Alonso a hard time if he can remember what colour his car is. I will be watching if I can, if not listening on the radio.

Can't wait! Not sure I'll be getting up at silly o'clock to watch it, but that's the beauty of Sky+... it'll be there waiting for me when I do get up!

Yes I will definitely be getting up to watch the race, and the qualifying. For me its just not the same if I don't watch it live.

For those without Sky, there are plenty of live streaming sites online to watch sport. Not sure about the legal issues, but as long as you are not broadcasting it, I can't see a problem. If anyone does decide to watch online streaming, close all the ads and update stuff, and DO NOT sign up for anything. Ignore ALL the requests to update/install ANYTHING, and *full screen* it to avoid pop-ups. An ad blocker helps as does up-to-date antivirus software. Actually, if you're not computer savvy, leave well alone

I find the BBC full race coverage is good but the highlight shows are disjointed nonsense. Reckon they should look at ITV4's coverage of the Isle of Man TT races to find some pointers on how it should be done. As others have said above, the Williams team should be looking to build on last years massive improvement with a win or 2, and I would love to see Force India get a podium at least once. Should be very close in the midfield as well with a constant fight to the line for all the points paying positions ....... hopefully

I'll get out of bed, make a coffee, watch start of race, pause, make brekkie, eat brekkie whilst watching rest of race, open laptop... easy peasy
