RBA help

Hi all

I have a sub tank mini, 
on the rba deck I'm having taste issues. 
Frankly my liquid tastes like crapcrap,, when I swap the deck for the occ head it's lush. Love my flavor. 
The occ is the 0.5 the one that came with The tank. Iv tried different coil builds on the rba. The only time it tasted right was with the original coil that came with tank. 
Again was 0.5 ohm. The coils I build are same ohms but they all taste shite. 
The only difference I noticednoticed,, the original coils may have had wider spacing on the wraps.

Would that make a difference ??

I'm using istick 50
sub tank mini
both occ and rba running 0.5 ohms
and both on 20 -- 24.5 watts

Please help as I really want to solve this problem

What wire are you using, i know some people say they get a funky taste with nichrome.
Also it may be the insulator material, i understand some of the early ones didn't have a peek insulator and people complained that was giving off an odd taste, i believe PBusardo described it as monkey ass
What colour is the insulator? the white one was the funny tasting one, they then changed that to a clear material which was good and then changed it to a light brown material which was good too.

Contact the vendor you bought it from they should have replacement insulators, if they don't try contacting Kanger themselves and have them send you one direct.
They're easy to replace just unscrew the bottom pin on the RBA the top part comes off just pop out the old insulator and put the new one in and put back together.

Brought from a little high street shop.
So will email kanger tech hopefully get a new one

Be sure there definitely White and not "light brown" the oldest ones are hard to tell from the newest (light brown) ones sometimes.

They are saying the vendors who sell their product are likely to have the correct replacements. Can't speak for your B&M but why not ask them.
i know some of the online vendors have replaced the dodgy insulators for customers.

I get great flavour with the premade heads but on the rba section I find I get the best taste on coils about 1.8ohms weird but that's how it's been for me but this is on the original subtank. What juice are you using unless it's pluid type shouldn't be having a problem with the insulator and the minis and nanos were supposed to ship with a revised insulator some have clear some brown seems a bit haphazard. Spacing the coils does seem to bring positive results with my tanks as well but not enough to turn a bad taste into good so might help but doubt that alone is the problem.

Yeah greyhaze sent me replacement insulators for my full size subtank free of charge that was why i said contact the vendor first as Kanger would probably have sent them a batch of insulators already.

just feel disappointed with rba. Amazing flavor on occ.

The juice is zuse juice dimpleberry 50 50 pg vg 6mg nic

Maybe you haven't got the wicking correct

Ok guys
so iv dismantled the rba deck. Putting all parts on a white towel the insulators are the browny beige ones.
Today iv had one of the coils that came with the tank 0.5 ohm. 20w
still a tainted taste.

In regards of wicking, iv tried all sorts. Japanese cotton, organic, poundland cotton balls. More, less thick and thin. I can't really remember witch one was best as none were that great
