The clutch had started to slip so I took it to a garage to have a new one fitted over 3 weeks ago. They only managed to break the steering lock, immobiliser and steering column!!! Apparently, some of these are coded to the car so they're waiting for the parts coming from Renault in France > >

Yeah, big oops lol We had no car for almost 2 weeks but one of the guys has taken pity on us and loaned us one. Thankfully the garage are picking up the bill for the repairs but I'm worried it will never be the same

No, we've paid for the clutch replacement but it had to go back the next day to re-align the steering wheel??? We never got it back because the young lad who tried to do that forgot to disengage the steering lock/immobiliser I do feel a bit sorry for the garage owner though. He was on holiday when it happened and the lads were scared to tell him until he got back. He's held up his hands and said he will pay for the repairs and throw in a free MOT but i'm still concerned it won't drive the way it used to

Hi everyone, I just thought I'd give an update on my progress. It's now around 32 hours since I had a normal cigarette. I'm hoping I will never touch another one again I already feel my breathing is much easier but my throat seems a little sore. I think this may be down to not being able to idientify when its time to top up my cartomiser. I don't think about it until I get that burning taste, then it;s too late :-[ Hopefully, I'll get the hang of things and be able to top it up before it gets to that stage. I've not been at work over the weekend so I've used it as and when I want/need it. Once I'm back at work tomorrow, I'll only use it every couple of hours, so maybe my sore throat will improve. Other than that, I seem to be coping pretty well with my Riva 1100 and I'm really pleased I followed everyones advice and got it. I'll certainly be using it for the foreseeable future and I'm already onto my hubby and our friends, trying to persude them to get one

Sounds like you are doing so well Sue - well done You do need to top up fairly regualrly, just think of it as the same thing as lighting a ciggie However the sore throat may be due to the fact that when vaping, it's best to keep your liquid intake up.

Hi Chrissie,
At the moment, I'm topping up around 12 drops each time but not until I get the burning taste. Do you mean I need to add the 12 drops every time I've taken the equivalent puffs as I would on a normal cigarette?
Sorry if this question sounds really dumb ???

Yesterday I started my first 2 blank cartos and they tasted great at first, I kept drawing on them until I got that burning taste then topped up. But I found that taste never fully went away again, and I got a sore throat. Today I've started another new carto, and have been topping it up with a few drops at a time quite regularly, and it's maintained a lovely taste, and great amount of vapour, all day, and no sore throat. Think I'll carry on doing this. No expert but I'm guessing as long as you don't overfill, topping up more regularly is better? is it?

Hi Alvo, Maybe I've ruined my cartos then? > Or maybe they can be cleaned to put them right? But in saying that, when I top up with the liquuid, they seem fine ??? I'll try a new one, do what you say and see how I get on. Thanks

Ok, I'll hang fire and see if anyone can offer advice on what to do I think I read in your post that you got the Riva 110 kit from vape escape. How are you getting on with it?

I love it Sue, it's such a big step up from what I was using, the flavour and vapour is so much better and the battery lasts so long, I put this battery on last night, been vaping like a trooper and it's still going strong. I've made a few mistakes with it, like I mentioned above, but it's a learning process isn't it? You're doing really well with it, keep it up

I've been changing my battery because I've noticed the flavour was lessening but maybe it was because I haven't been tooping up enough. I'm going to try what you are doing and see how it goes. I love my Riva too. I rang Jason before I placed my order on Friday and he was brilliant. I love the grizwalds liquids that I got from him so I'll certainly keep buying from him in the future

It really is best to top up with a few drops before you get the burning taste.
Sue, if they seem fine after topping up, nothing to worry about. But if you do ever let them get too dry & you can't get rid of the burning taste, you could try rinsing them uner a tap or even boiling them & then blowing through & letting them dry out.
