Hi Everyone, I just wanted to introduce myself and at the same time, ask for some help/advice. I'm Sue and I'm a 20-30 a day smoker and I have been for around 30 years with the exception of a few periods where I did manage to stop smoking for a short time. (2 years on one occasion) I'm struggling to find the willpower to stop this time around, only to go back on them again :-[ So, with that in mind, I decided to look into electronic cigarettes and came across this brilliant forum. I'm totally new to the vaping experience but I have done a little bit of research on here, and boy, how confused am I?? ??? I decided to purchase a disposable e-cig a few days ago, just to get an idea of what they were really like. I was so impressed with just how few real cigarettes I actually smoked while using the disposable that I have decided to "go for it" and purchase my first re-chargeable one. My problem is the same as all the "Newbies", Which one do I go for?? Anyway, here's the bit where I ask for the advice I'm looking for something with a decent battery as I work full time, with no way to charge it during the day, probably a tank type, easy to use/fill/clean and one that I could use with a passthrough during the evenings. I'm being drawn to the EGO Tank Starter Kit from eCigsforyou at £32.99, and an Ego Tank Passthrough & 900mAh battery from ECigWizard at £14.99. I would really appreciate any advice or comments regarding which way to go on this as I'm "doing my head in" and my husband's, trying to make a decision!!! Anyway, sorry for the long first post but I thought I'd better give as much info as I could, even though you may all be bored to tears by now!!! Thanks so much, Sue

First of all, welcome to the AAE-C, Sue.
I think the eGo is a great choice, as I have been using it for over a year now and I still love it. The battery should last you all day.
As for a passthrough, if you want it for work, then it's a great idea. For home use, I found a passthrough unnecessary as the eGo battery does last a long time.
I don't use a tank, I use dual coil low resistance cartomizers, but I have heard good things about the tanks.
Good luck.

Hello & a warm welcome to the forum Sue! I'll go have a quick look at the ecigs that you're contemplating . . . both Suppliers, Steve especially from Ecigsforyou are well recommended here . . . Steve and his lovely wife Bel are both active and very valued member's on our forum. Don't forget to pick up some ejuice as well with your ecigs . . . PS. Don't forget to use the discount codes which can be found on this thread for both Supplier's. allaboute-cigarettes.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=suppliers&thread=301&page=2#118519

Hi JerryRM Thanks so much for your quick reply. I may hold off buying the passthrough until I've got my new kit just in case I don't need it. The tank sounds so much easier than the cartomisers for me at the moment as it doesn't take much to confuse me, but if I went for the tank to begin with, would I be able to change to the cartomisers later if I thought they might suit me better, without having to buy a whole new kit? Thanks, Sue

Hi Sue, the Riva seems to be the choice of e-cig here for people starting out and established vapers

Hi Perpetua Thanks for the reassurance about the suppliers I mentioned. I did notice there was discount codes for suppliers on the forum so looking for some was my next task The ejuice is a whole new dilemma for me ??? Again, like most newbies, I'm thinking along the lines of ejuice that resembles cigarettes so any advice on the good ones would be great. Thanks, Sue

Thanks, Sue Sue, in all honesty, since I have never used a tank, I would have to say that I think that you could use the same battery with a cartomizer, but I'm not really certain. I hope someone who has had experience with both, will have a better answer for you.

Hi Sue and welcome! I'm pretty new too but I got one of the Ego Tanks kits and I didn't like it at all, either I was getting a totally plastic taste or a burning one. now I think there may be 2 different kind of Ego T kits but as a newbie I'm not sure? I wouldn't recommend the one I got though The Ego kits with cartomizers are fab. Ok it is a bit of a faf at first working out how best to fill them but you soon get the hang of it and everyone here is really helpful if you run into problems! But, yes even if you got the tank system you could easily change to caromizers! if you are set on getting the tank order a pack of cartomizers as well then you can see what suits you best good luck, you're making the first step to being ciggie free

Hi esmecullen I looked at the Riva 510 and was really swayed towards that one but the kits I've found seem to have short life batteries in them, which is why I'm swaying to the Ego-T. I need one that will keep a charge and keep me going for a 12-13 hour day as I'm often out of the house at 6am and not home until 8pm or even later. Oh the confusion is giving me a headache I'll go and have another look at the Riva now. Thanks, Sue

Hi Sue..
Well done for making the choice to "go for it" I'm sure you won't regret it, and will be soo glad you did, and welcome to the wonderful world of Vaping, I'm sure you've already discovered it's a really really freindly place here and you get answers pretty quick so it won't be long before your up and running with everything you need...
I'm new to vaping too, but like you was amazed how much of a smoking experience vaping gave and I never touched an analogue since..
sooo. Well Done! & Welcome:)
