Has anyone else had a problem with the half-price TECC spares? I bought a 5-pack of 901 batteries and another of 901 atomisers. I charged the first battery, got red light first then green light as usual, tried it and found it dead as a do-do. Tried a second and got exactly the same result.
Then I tried the atomisers with my faithful LF batteries. I wrestled the cartridge on ( one I'd been using successfully with my other stuff, filled with James's lovely B&H juice - Hissie said they were a tight fit and she wasn't kidding!) took a big puff and got nothing! Tried another with the same result.
I haven't got time to persevere with any more because the TECC multipacks only carry a 48-hour 'dead on arrival' guarantee so I need to return them pretty quickly.
In my grumpy mood I wondered if that was why they were selling stuff off at half price, but then the post arrived with my 510 and the PCC for it, also bought in the half price sale, and they seem to be working fine.

It seems a bit unreasonable to only give 48 hours for the batteries to be tested. It takes hours to charge one, then you have to flatten it before knowing if it will recharge or not, in order to be sure that what has been used insn't just the original power that the batt arrived with. I once purchased a set of rechargeables for my camera. Once I used them (in the 'as they had arrived' state) they wouldn't recharge. It took me a number of weeks before I realised. Haven't 'tested' my TECC batteries - but hope they are not all duff.

Not so long ago there wasn't even a dead on arrival warranty with TW or TECC multi packs. Sorry to hear you are having problems with them Inn

Inn, i had a leaky, green-bottomed battery in my multi pack, i've to send it back...

It probably is partly the reason they are selling off the stock.

I haven't tried my tonado batts or the 901 atties, but wasn't impressed with the fit of the carts, however, I have tried a new 510 atty & it seems fine.

Hissie- yours went in the post this morning. Judy - yours didn't! Will pop in post tomorrow.

What I have found withthis is to cut it, pour boiling water over a few times, then just pat dryish. With thicker juices, the slightly moist filling seems to assist the absorption of the juice.

I hope my TECC atties are the same ones as I've bought before, they're usually 70% OK.

I got my new Tornado in girly pink. I love the button on it, it's much more user friendly than the Riva. I also love the fact that everything is interchangeable so no worrying about needing spares for a while.

I'm just having problems with some juices, I've had my lips swelling at certain times but can't quite work out what's causing it???

It's here - I've put it in my 901 box (well, some 901 stuff is in there, more scattered all over the place) - I don't think I'll use the LF LR atty for a while because it may put me off the Eastmall ones and compel me to buy more from LF

It wasn't the only prezzy that arrived - I'll thank James in his thread
