Hi all
So got my goblin..... dual coils with 28awg kanthal (.32) reading at .8 ohms 1st wicked with rayon now wicked with organic cotton... using homebrew at 80/20 vg/pg...using on istaick 50 at 28-30 watts...lung hitting
now first few hits are lush, flavour, clouds etc BUT 3rd hit (sometimes 2nd) get nasty burnt hit (doesnt seem to be dry...still get vapor).....WHY??
was thinking high vg, but even the subtank and delta can do high vg no problems......was thinking I overwicked (packed too much into juice channel) but rewicked and had it slightly looser, still same....
drivin me mad

I got mine upto 40watts straight away with no dry hits and using 100% Vg although it's Vape Kitchen juice and quite runny for 100%. I couldn't believe how well it wicked. I set mine up as per Toms guide, checks out

Can only think your cotton is a bit too loose in the coil then.

Sounds like a hot spot to me. Empty it and get the wicks out and give it a fire. I think either one coil is getting hotter or you've a nasty hot spot. Tighten your connections. Pulse and squeeze. Give it a strum. If it's not this then perhaps too much cotton in one of the channels meaning both sides not saturating evenly. Let us know what it was and how u got on! And good luck buddy

Sorted!!!
No hot spots just bit too much wicking, followed video build by trever Jones and just wee bit of cotton at top of channel....
Thanks all

I find for higher vg juices it's better to build a wider coil, there's more space for thicker juices to wick into the coil! "normal" coils for higher vg rates and micro coils for higher pg juices! at least this is what I observed in my own vaping experience!
