My preferred option also . . . every parcel I post contains food flavourings, whatever the size or shape.

So, apart from lying, how do vendors send batteries?. They cannot afford to lie I would have thought.

They can be sent if with or inside electrical equipment so if it's an istick that's legal and allowed as is a cloupor with a battery. This is from royal mail I guess that's how companies get around it

Fair enough if the battery is an integral part of the device, but as tim says, if I order a pair of batteries from Ecolux or Torchy they come in a box but not in a device - how do they get to be able to post batteries, and we don't? They must despatch dozens of packages each day!!

Other couriers will ship them by themselves it's just royal mail that will refuse to accept them

Vendors send them out by RM and they have big stickers on the package saying "Lithium Batteries" :

All the batteries I've received from Ecolux or Torchy have been RM, with NO special packaging, just a jiffy bag with my details on it. They're must be thousands of batteries posted each day throughout the length and breadth of Britain with no problems.

Aha yes I forgot about them good old yodel haha as much as people may complain about royal mail at the end of the day a fair amount of parcels are still transported on part of their network at some point regardless of who you've posted it with.
