Hi all - my new Tornado arrived promptly from TECC. Happy bunny, especially as my new James's flavours arrived at the same time. (Thank you Mr J ) But............. having gone to plug in the batteries to the charger provided in the kit - I can't get either one of them to fit/scew in etc. :-[ The unit is different to my Riva one - bigger - with an obvious hole for where to stick/screw it - but it won't! They do however, happily fit my Riva charger with no probs, and appear to be 'charging'. Before I ring TECC for advice (possibly alerting them to my numpty status - which I would obviously like to avoid if poss :-[ ) has anyone else ordered/received their Tornado and made a better job of it than I have - well, haven't!? , wandering off very confooosed. :-[ > > > > Sorry but I've got to laugh, reading your post. I did exactly the same thing when mine arrived on Friday! I was cursing and scratching my head. What a silly idea? Why not just bring the attachment further forward so they fit straight in? Cofusious he do say

The Riva charger charges a lot faster than the 510 sent with the Tornado.

The USB charger supplied with the Riva has a higher output I believe and is designed to charge these type of batteries a lot faster whereas I think the charger Tecc supply with the Tornado is the same as any standard 510 charger (hence the need for the little charging adapter thingy)

When I bought my first Tornado battery and cone I also bought the adapter to fit the normal 510 charger but it got well and truly stuck inside the charger 'box' and I had to crack it open to free it. I bought the proper, Tornado USB Mega-charger instead - far better and takes half the time to charge. As the two TW 510 USB chargers are identical to look at, I put a dab of nail polish on the Mega one as this mustn't be used on normal 510 batteries. My Riva battery is fine with the Mega-charger as the Ego/Riva/Tornadoes are, more or less, identical.
