Hi this may be a stoopid nooowbie Q but im mixing my own juice My original flavours and bases i bought via the totally wicked web site, Ive been using the ratio guide from totally wicked to mix my bases and flavours and nicotine. But now have bought some of the sample 5ml flavous from www.ukflavours.com, @ 99p per 5ml it seems too cheap to be true are they the same concentration or weaker than those i have from totaly wicked? thanks in advance.. Cheers..

The concentrate percentage for different ranges -- and flavours within that range are very varied too. The only percentage suggestions I believe in are T-Juice and Pixie -- everything else is vague and varied!
You can ask here and do google searches for a guideline but I'm afraid its trial and error with many recipes and for some, its fun. Me, no - I just blindly key in and follow tried and tested recipes!

As Pepperty said above, they will all be differing concentrations but once you know how much you need to add it'll be the same every time unless the concentrate vendor changes the recipe which happens rarely.

Yep varies from concentrate to concentrate within the same range. A strawberry and kiwi from ukf will be diff amount to capella,TPA etc. Also what I like might be to weak or to strong for your taste. Drip a couple drops of concentrate on your finger and taste if its blooming strong 10-12% strong 12-18% strong ish 15-20% pisswater 20-30%

fair enough.. thanks all i will literally suck n see then is there a recognised good sorce of concentrates, the few sites i have checked out all seem like a lot of work to use, i like ( currently) simple fruit flavours like cherry lemon, blackcurrent etc.. most sites seem to want to sell mixed up juice, and then when they do sell flavours want to sell complex blends.. I h8 the totally wicked site format but at least the concentrates are a simple browse and buy..

Check out chefs vapour one stop shop. Might be worth looking at some of the t juice or pinkspot concentrates as these are one shot mixes. So are most of the master baker range. www.chefsvapour.co.uk/37-master-baker-concentratesI can reccomend hawk sauce and cinnamon roll .

I'm still new to mixing myself but wouldn't it be better to stick to all mls rather than drops to get a more accurate mix and percentage. Drops are not that accurate as the dropper tip varies,

Its best to use mils only as depending on dropper size liquid viscosity drops will change considerably.

You don't have to phatfil . . . . anything under 1ml, I use drops - though I work on 30 drops to 1ml. Mixing to me ought to be fun and uncomplicated, with as least faff as is possible. A couple of drops here and there with a non terribly potent flavour, is unlikely to make much overall difference to your end result. We are home mixers after all, not mixing for any masses.

Got another quick question.. dont think it warrants a thread of its own, but when it comes to reusing a juice bottle do you bother washing or rinsing out the old juice or just add as is?? if washing or ronsing is reccomended is there any particular method ? ive just been mixing up in the one bottle as and when needed i have now learnt that maturing the juice is best so have ordered 10 x 10ml drippers from ebay..

Yes I do wash out ' re-cycled ' bottles phatfil, although I don't go overboard . . . a quick rinse, then an overnight soak in a mild Bicarbonate of Soda solution, finished off with another good rinse does for me.
