It's a common misconception that Nicotine is highly addictive. Otherwise NRT would work. See HERE

It is the vendors i feel sorry for as most folks will just go the diy route. no, don't agree with this - most forum members/hobbyist vapers and the like may well diy, but the majority of vapers just won't be aware or think about it as they've come into it from b&m shops who won't even sell DIY supplies, and let's face it - even with higher tax, it'll still be cheaper and healthier than fags... the only difficulty I forsee is when people's non-TPD compliant kit (like refillable, potentially-leaky tanks for instance) wears out and needs replacing, then both vendor and customer may be up sh1t creek ...I however, just ordered another litre of nic base for the freezer (making 3 litres) and will probably get another later in the year.... at current nic levels that'll give me enough for 20 years of mixed-up juice

I'm still on 14mg..... if I could get down to 10 that'd help stretch it to almost 30 years, would still have a shortfall based on life expectancy..... better plan on an extra litre

they will prob tax on nic content more nic more tax That is what would make sense (if it made any sense at all anyway) but I believe the draft legislation in Portugal just had the same level of taxation per bottle of " liquid containing nicotine". So same for a bottle of 72 mg/ml* base as for a bottle of 5mg/ml RY4.
*The TPD if implemented next year will of course outlaw anything (unmedicated?) over 20 mg/ml in any event. So selling Nic base as we know it will cease to be legal. www.clivebates.com/?p=1747

Simple solution stock up on tanks or make your own (I have done it from squidgy bottles a few years ago - not with current set up though).... And stock up on o-rings.....tanks and attys sorted Also the likes of wire As for nic juice? All us hobbyist folks have been warned...lower thy nic level! I'm not great at doing it but am getting there so far (probably be in the psych unit on an epic fail at 3mg/ml though! - currently on 4.5mg/ml Jane

I was calculating yesterday prior to ordering said litre of nic, and I diy at 32p per 10ml, and the flavouring is the most expensive part, even when mixing at 14mg

i have about a liter of nic base which should last about a year or so, and i plan on another litre. which will give us a couple of years at 10% and longer if we drop the level. it would appear a lot of people have done that, so there is a good few 1000 lts sitting in peoples freezers waiting for tpd armageddon. I agree the masses will not have stock, but i'm also sure the black market will open fairly quickly after implementation. so any estimation of tax is going to be low returns for the government. And have little or no effect on the many that have stockpiled. At least for a couple of years. By then some clever person will have come up with a new solution to getting nicotine, that bypasses the rules. Nicotine powder?

they will prob tax on nic content more nic more tax As I understand it, Potugal have taxed the ejuice per ml, irrespective of the nicotine content. Maybe it would make sense to tax it on the nicotine content but, politicians and sense shouldn't be mentioned in the same sentence.
