Here's my idea and I'm open to all suggestions. The coils in the Atlantis, is it possible to push some Japanese cotton down the centre to make the wick last a bit longer ? . Was just thinking as I'm killing em on average one every two days

If you put wick down the center then you block off the airflow

Not sure how that would make the coil last any longer. Aside from anything else you would be restricting the airflow which would not only affect your draw it would also prevent the airflow from cooling the coil and subsequently increasing the risk of the wick getting scorched.

there was a video on youtube that showed someone rebuilding them by pulling the guts out and re wicking them but not sure if that was the nautilus or nautilus mini.
theres something wrong with them as in 9 weeks ive only used 3 on my mini and only changed them because i had a real heavy cream vape and then a Heisenberg vape which both needed their own coil. then i put the original back and its still going today. i get the odd burnt taste and just turn the watts down a bit. my average is 12-15watt on my istick30 with nautilus mini.
are they original coils and did you check the seriel code on the box.

I've rebuilt Atlantis coils but they are a right PITA compared to Kanger heads. IMO it's not really worth the bother. I've noticed that they don't last as long when i'm using higher VG sweeter liquids but they are still going for 10 days+. Dodgy pack? Turn the power down? Vape less?

Simple solution sell the Atlantis and buy a subtank mini Sorry but really don't get on with aspire stuff, and it buggs me that they didn't make an rba style base for the Atlantis.

You could rebuild the head with a horizontal coil similar to the Kanger OCC heads or Smok VCT X1 style heads, less hassle than a vertical coil.

Must admit @tedster that there does seem to be something wrong if your coils are only lasting 2 or 3 days. I have a Mini Nautilus and even if I vape it exclusively at around 12w a coil is lasting me at least 3 weeks - and that is with Jack The Ripple, which is a fairly thick sweet juice which would caramelise quite quickly, clogging the coil. It might be worth investing in some good genuine coils before lobbing the Nauti over the hedge! This is a really good price at the moment from AFMs 5 coils for a fiver . . .

Thanks for all the info and ideas, I always vape at 25w and I'm using 70/30pg it is mostly desert eliquid, I think my problem is I'm a very heavy vaper, well that's in my book I am 10-12 mil a day. I notice the coils not lasting very long mostly on my Kbox, I always pre soak the coils and let it stand for around 10mins do primer puffs, and warm through on 8-10wats before I crank it back up to 25.

25watts, thats the problem. even though these batterys go upto 30 or 50w the coils just canna take it captain.
12-15w with my istick30 and as said the coils have lasted 3-4 weeks so far. as soon as i go to 20w i get the burnt taste and have to turn down.

I think some of you have got the wrong end of the stick... @tedster is using the Atlantis, not the Nautilus, which "should" be more than capable of 25w.
Unfortunately, I have nothing useful to add to help solve your problem @tedster... we've not had any customers come into the shop complaining of the same thing, although we did have a customer who came in complaining about coils he bought elsewhere that were clearly fakes, when compared to the originals. Did you get yours from a reputable source and have you compared them to one you know is 100% genuine?
