I still think their gear is an absolute rip-off, but I'm starting to warm to their cafe, even if the coffee is crap. Then again I'm a coffee snob and Plymouth is at the sort of level where Costa do the best coffee, which isn't good.

They seem to have employed people who know about more than egos and are having proper geeky/hobbyist conversations with some of the customers. Well those coming in for more than starter kits/Chinese juice that is.

MVP3/iStick 50s and drippers/sub ohm clearos all round for the staff, much better than the egos most of the staff were using last time I was in.

They're not a bad lot, I used to pop in when I was collecting EFVI signatures and they loved seeing the gear I had, especially the Provari.

They only have what the company gives them to sell but they do know about Chinese stuff and how cheap it is because some of them buy from China!

Also besides the run of the mill Ego/CE4 kits that they sell (because that's what a lot of Punters want) they do have a few devices in the cabinet by the door.

Ideal if you just need to get something quick and not pay any P&P, remember shops have to pay business rates, rent, staff, electricity etc, and they do let you try before you buy.



ETA at least the coffee is not MAXPAX and you do get a biscuit!

Are they still in the market ? I know they have the shop (never been in their yet) but the staff they had in the panier were really good

Last time I looked they were.

In the shop, just up from Ivor Dewdney's I used to get a coffee, use their Wi-Fi, their toilet and have a good chug on my devices when I went in (never bought anything though)

I went in there just before Xmas as needed some wick for my dripper. They looked at me like i was mad but were friendly and helpful. Eventually one of the not so unattractive girls dragged a box out and said is this it? "Er, yeah, but i don't need that much". They had a roll that was about the same size as a washing machine barrel of the stuff and cut me off a metre at no cost. I sat and chatted to them for a while and they didn't know much other than the basic stuff. The guy that worked there however seemed to know what he was talking about. Never tried the coffee. Seems that they might have employed some others or gained some education?

@tedster you know that they have a store in Truro? Just up from Burger King towards the Levi shop, i think that it used to be am estate agents.

No I never knew that, can't have a look as am off my legs for a while . The only one I've seen is down near the old woolies, no comment !

Flavour vapour in Torquay are very good, knowledgeable and all are well into their vaping the older guy that is manager is a hardcir diy mixer, loves his modstheir prices in sum bits are very good others its rip of land.
