Not sure whether it's just me, but since yesterday, all my juices taste the same.
I'm wondering whether my atties are a bit gunky. So, how do people clean their atties?
I do blow mine out until all liquid has dripped out, but I'm not sure it's enough to keep them in working order.

Hmm could be Chrissie. Didn't really have any problems until yesterday & it's all gone a bit pear shaped since.

The only flavours I ever taste are horrid ones I gave up trying to clean atties too, I just dry burn occasionally, as Chrissie says. scylla

i just do a dry burn even when changing juices, which is not often and there all tobacco. you could always have more than atty and cart on the go, just label them and put them in a little bag with a squeeze seal top. raggy........

How do you do a dry burn? I've read a few articles on the net, but don't quite understand it.

You need a manual battery (of any type) to do a dry burn. Just remove the mouthpiece & pres the button on the battery for a few seconds (not too long or you will kill the attie). Doing this is the best way to burn off any crud that has built up round the atomiser coil.

I've given it a go on the one I've been using today. When I was pressing the button, quite a lot of "vapour" was coming off. I didn't want to do it to long as the metal was getting quite hot. The atty didn't seem to clear & I couldn't see it glowing. So I'm allowing the atty to rest & am using another one.

I've refilled a cart and am using a different atty, but unfortunatly I'm getting a burnt throat as if the atty is dry.
Can't understand where I'm going wrong.

Hissie, if quite a lot of vapour was coming off without a cart attached, I'm wondering if your problem may be due to you flooding your atties?

I don't know Chrissie. I never direct drip, only refill carts. The only problem I had was after I used the straw mod and ended up with a mouthful of juice. The atties have since been left to rest over night, so I would've thought things should be back to normal today.

Hmmm if you aren't direct dripping, then I agree it is unlikely you are flooding them.

I'm hoping it all works out tomorrow. It all dosen't make sense to me to be honest. I'm pretty upset about it too, especially since I'm not really getting a good nicotine fix.

I had a couple of days like that too. Like you, I was SO frustrated. I nearly gave it all up!
I can't really tell you what I did, just perseverance really. Plus the fact that I never stopped smoking normal cigs entirely.
I blew, I washed and dried the filling and started again with everything fresh. Still didn't happen. I didn't know whether I was flooding or vaping too dry. I couldn't get it right.
I left it all overnight, swapped and changed atties, filling, carts again and again. I pulled the stuffing up, I pushed it down. I took it out and dripped a couple more drops in a bare one, then put the filling back in. I even tried dripping a couple drops onto the attie. I had mouthfuls of juice and a constantly yukkie piece of kitchen roll next to me.
Eventually it all seemed to come right.
I have had the best few days recently, which is why I've been a bit quiet. (Don't want to rock the boat!)
I decided to try using a bit of the blue filler again, not a lot, a single layer. An LR attie from Eastmall. And my Riva. (I've not even tried my new Tornado yet!) I have to refill 3/4 drops every half hour or so, but I've been having the best vape. I've not changed atties/filler for about 3 days.

Glad you're in a good phase, Kath {{{Hissie}}} I have never killed an atty by overburning it. It might be worth holding the button until the coil does glow and then release immediately. If it won't glow, then maybe it's duff. (I notice that the LR atties don't glow at all - at least, not the only one I've used, an Eastmall which is still going strong in my SD with occasional use.) I've been there so many times and will again, I have to think "this too shall pass" when getting bad vapes (it makes me feel pious, thinking those words ) scylla x
