To clone, or not to clone.

Are the Fasttech clones of the Subtank and Atlantis V2 any good? I'm a bargain hunter (skinflint) and can't help wondering if they are as good as the originals? My heart is saying get the originals, my head is saying get the clone and spend the saving on something else new

Kanger stuff is not a fair price on Fasttech any more, i.m.o.

However, some of the non-authentic is as good as Kanger, comes in fake Kanger boxes and works just as well. (Might even be Kanger)

It's got to be an item by item basis though.

I once got a Nautilus Mini clone from FT, it was crap...
For things like Kanger and such I'd go real every time..

Check all the listings for each of the clones and check out the reviews, some get decent reviews others not good at all.

I got the style like subtank and can't tell the difference tween them and the authentic ones. I did get a pack of 5 authentic coils for ease though

For the price of a new one buy original, it ain't like they're £££'s. Save yourself the hassle if it leaks when it eventually turns up from Pinoy.

I'm thinking i'll buy a real one, found a local shop with them in stock and then I might order the clones from Fasttech as back ups.

I recently bought both the Nano and Mini from FT Nano was $10 and checks out as original , the mini not much more, came in a fake looking copy of the Original box, and had been registered over a thousand  times, yet the tank is exactly the same as my other two genuine Subtank Mini's.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if the clones and authentics are made in the same factories by the same people.

I suspect you are right Greg. A lot of peple saying the parts are interchangeable so it would not surprise me.

I've always thought . . . . and it's a work around the ' rules ' on pricing, to call them clones or style.

My experience of ' styled ' products has only been a positive one.

I'd think it more likely the case when the originals are manufactured in China.
