I tried dental floss and thread on mine Greigster and had the same result. But aa soon as I started using it the leaking started again. I might be talking bollox here, but I thought it could possibly be something to do with heat being generated in the base area from the coils and thinning the juice.

Well, this thread fills me with dread as yesterday I received a Goblin clone from, actually I can't remember, FT, Gearbest, Focal, can't remember without checking my orders. I haven't had chance to coil and wick it yet, but I'm not so sure that I want to now!! As an aside, can I get away with a single coil in it to start with , or will this just cause even more potential problems? I have a goblin original from gearbest a present from my lovely brother and a clone from focal ecig both work like a dream for me iv had no leaking from anywhere on either of them, I'm sure you'll be fine if I can do it you definitely can , I'd never done a dual coil before and wasn't looking forward to it but it was fine and then I wondered what I was so worried about . I was shocked at what a great little tank it is I'm sure you'll love it

Both of mine (original from Vapeescape and supposed original from Gearbest) weep a little from the fill screw, but nothing major and no more than necessitates a quick wipe when I refill. The only issue I find is that when filling, because of the pressure created, they can sometimes leak through the driptip when filling. This isn't an issue when I use a needletip bottle, but with the skinny plastic tips, they are a little snug in the fill hole, so there is nowhere for the air to escape and the pressure pushes the juice through the juice channels and into the chimney and out of the drip tip. Solution is to decant the juice into a needletip bottle or use a syringe to fill. I build as per Tom's guide with no probs once filled How are you getting on with yours Andy chykensa?

while not advisable i really dont like the bottom fill screw SO... have been unscrewing the top sitting the goblin on a bottle cap/ ego holder etc and top filling without any pressure on the glass tank section, but the juice is thick enough not to flow out then quickly screw on the top with the goblin held in a paper towel, minimal spil if any and no bottom screw problems

Like some others, mine leaks a tiny amount from the fill screw but IMO no more than any other RTA that are filled using this method.

The only reason I don't have one is the filling method. It has a tendency to leak. And I would lose the screw. I just know I would. So I am waiting for a Cthulhu (well 2 actually) as the deck looks very similar but with bigger airflow and bigger juice channels. It does have a bottom fill screw, but can be filled from the top. I reckon the screw might get glued in if it leaks Shame you can't top fill the Goblin. I like the look of it.

Some good ideas between phatfil and tim. Epoxy the fill screw in and fuel it from the top, sounds like a plan. Right I'm off to get me another Goblin.

Some good ideas between phatfil and tim. Epoxy the fill screw in and fuel it from the top, sounds like a plan. Right I'm off to get me another Goblin. when top filling im using a 60/40 or 70/30 VG/PG base so my juice is thick n gloopy, and its not entirely mess free, and a paper towel is needed when doing up, but 99% of the juice stays inside, as long as you dont nudge the glass out of its seat, while ive not used it myself a crafty wrap of ptfe round the SS and glass join should keep it all together during the operation, I have nudged the glass out of its seat and that was messy. If planning on epoxying closed the fill screw hole (bit drastic) use something like jb-weld or water weld thats deemed food safe.. while jbweld isnt rubber stamped as foodsafe its been used in many a nano brewery in boil kettle seals But if you dont open the fill screw i dont think you will have any problems with it, my guess at the root of the leak problem is a tad too much torque may have been applied to seal the steel screw in, and the softer steel screw threads may have given a tad against the stronger Stainless steel base of the atty???

How are you getting on with yours Andy chykensa? I've got as far as rinsing it and drying it with an old teatowel . . . Might get the chance to have a play tomorrow evening - I'm chuffing away on a Taifun with a well-steeped Custard at the moment, and have no sudden urge to get covered in leaking juice and expletives, lairey!

Well phatfil, I'm no stranger to drastic measures ! If there's a bit of moppage to be done when top filling I can hack that. What I couldn't hack was the moppage 5/6 times a tank, add to that when you lift your device its running down the side; in the buttons, 510 full of juice and a big damp patch in your shirt or jeans pocket, all that is so frustrating and soul destroying. It was that bad I thought about buying a half ounce of drum and a packet of licorice papers .

well striker42 im kicking myself for not thinking of the ptfe tape before, it facilitates the top filling of the goblin and i would imagine any compression fitted atty very easily, granted you cant fill to the brim as you could using the bottom screw but its a lot less hassle needing no fiddley screw removal and safe keeping, and no need for the paper towel precaution either 'look dry hands '

Or pancake duck arse wick next time? mine leaked outa the screw hole a few times but i maned up and got a well fitting screwdriver and tightened it up like he man and undid it a few times and no more leaks yay i did find a long drawn out youtube vid for building and wicking but the main thing i took from it is less cotton, trim said cotton to same size as the deck and not putting any down the juice channels(a little do go down when you put the chimney on) then tease said cotton away from the coils and easing it down ever so slightly and your good for up to 45 watts at .6 ohms(not a pleasant vape to me but lush up to 30 watts) ill try n find the vid when i get a chance
