You can fit a bus through there.....or maybe not...!

Been driving for over 20 years and been involved in 4 accidents now that needed to go through insurance.

Hit from behind hard, I was stationary on a roundabout.
Lorry to the side, I was stationary cueing on a ring road.
Tourist coach to side, I was parked.
Now again parked and a double decker London bus done this....




Now accidents happen but why does my insurance go up everytime someone bloody drives into me. So now for the next 5 years i have been "invloved in an accident" yet I wasn't even in the car, I was having a coffee.....

had the same as you mate.
parked in my reserved bay at hospital. post lorry hits the back of me. got all his details. 2 days later letter holding me responsible. resolved. no fault.
stopped in traffic. vicar drives off from lights 500 yards behind me and slams into rear. owned up he fell asleep. 2 days later blamed by his insurance.
resolved, no fault.
both times insurance went up even though not my fault. i also had 7 years no claim discount protected.

3 years apart and 2 brand new bmw's hit by hospital lorry. i was parked in reserved space next to loading bay at hospital (different bay as moved after first hit above). we know exactly the lorries. company say if i have cctv proof they will pay up. cameras not facing right direction to see impact. lose both claims.

space now moved again.

we just cant win can we.

spaniel What, you've bumped off two wives, and claimed the life insurance    Weren't they suspicious 
I assume the speeding tickets were driving from the scenes.

letsavit really sorry for you, but not surprised after watching the recent 'Double Decker Driving School' prog on TV. Some of them wouldn't be safe on a bike, although to be fair others were good.

it may show this if the bus driver has to submit a video and i bet insurance company's
have street maps showing all the road signs and markings in streets

you know what they are like never want to pay out just take your pennys

Has crossed my mind but one of the insurance companies is paying, I can't afford to fix this one, some bent metal underneath and it's got a pull to the left when I drove it home. You can park on double yellows to load unload.... Plenty of witnesses, in fact a bus full that had to get off and wait for the next...! The next bus managed to get past without hitting anything.... even if I parked in the middle of the road I would like to see transport for London justifying damage to a static vehicle to a judge.
