Heres your problem with turning the chip, lack of width. Even if you take the corners off the battery sled it might not go in. The hana is a bit wider and uses the mounting sled like the one on the right and there's no way thats gonna fit.

Saw those archiecat but was put off by them being, well spherical are they comfortable to use? Yes very, was a bit dubious then saw that Hanna Mods use them in their boxes, so good enough for them etc. They are quite a light action with a nice click to them.

Thats the thing with the tiny boxes they're not really suited to the dna. Its why the chinese always use long boards with the screen fixed to the front as its the only way to get them in. What about this one, still too big.

First couple of boxes I did I ended up drilling holes too big/in the wrong places and is quite frustrating (not to mention expensive). So for a first build Id go with a pre arranged box like a shape ways or similar. Will be a far more relaxed and enjoyable build. Good luck with it smarties keep us posted.

So I finally got a dna30 chip to commit myself to my first box mod build and have been trawling shapeways and t'internet generally for a box to put it in. I'm in no great rush as I will research the build as thoroughly as I can before starting and have already figured out that building something the size of a cloupor mini is probably out. Can anyone recommend a suitable enclosure for this little project, I don't really fancy a hammond box as they are either really big and/or need a lot of refinishing to look anything like. Did see a kit on stealthvape which looked interesting but they are out of stock. Any suggestions? I'm an electrical engineer and don't mind trying something a bit challenging, but not too challenging for a first build. This may be more challenging than you want, but it was my first build using general DIY tools and if you want small it is smaller than any pre-prepared enclosures. I would not bother with the USB charging board and didn't with the 2 DNA40 I made this size, but would recommend a VariTube 510 connector the build in my sig has one. They are a lot of work Tiny DNA30 build thread
