Don't think you worry about out ohms anymore just do a straight short....MK ring main wire will do......!

Firmware upgradable, hope they do a cheaper 40 watt version of this with a same size board so I can upgrade a few of my mods.

Some nice bits: std Lipo connector, fuse, detachable screen, screw mount holes, smt fuse, on board USB socket & separate button options. But looks big and would rather loose the buttons to reduce the size, but that will never happen as this is designed to pop into a as easily as possible.

Not too worried about Lipos myself and you need to balance charge multiple batteries box mods anyway, either by charging parallel in place or charging all batteries to the same voltage. Any word as to if charging is built in to the board, though USB would be very slow.

I won't be going for one of theses, a foolish move imo by Evolv, I doubt it will be long once they hit the shelves that some newbie wanting to impress his pals buys one and the Li-po goes up in his/ her face, or an attempt to charge on a device that is not suitable .

Evolv's whole marketing was directed at safety and temp control so as we don't inhale burnt cotton etc, I feel it smacks of a desperate attempt to jump on the cloud chaser bandwagon, which holds no interest whatsoever for me, in fact imo will be the downfall of vaping as it seems to attract the I don't give a shit brigade!

Only two videos I have watched with that brandon and another with some long haired smug git that thought he had invented the wheel. Brandon..."40 watts is plenty"....other video long haired smug git slagging off all the Chinese temp control chips "that didn't work" while I was vaping on one that did. Took them 6 months to realise that heat produces vapor not watts....200watts to heat NI200 hope this can manage 0.01 coils......

"This is a researches platform" what like the last one, use some existing tech stick it on a board and let the users feedback help you advise how to use......

Is it safe to say your not a fan mate 

i think the board pics might be misleading regarding size perception. If you compare the board to the silver mod it's allegedly in in looks quite small in relation to the in hand shot. This assumes the mod pic is genuine of course.

of course I'll be buying one

I reckon 70 mm x 17.5 mm if the Lipo pins are at 2.5 mm pitch, not bad as you will need a big box for a lipo or 3 18650s.

But it is needed for the firmeware and there are multi-battery boards with USB that don't balance charge.

You could be right or the USB could do both. I'm just comparing the positions of the board components to the external pic of the mod and that socket seems to align with the photo, again assuming the mod pic is genuine.

i can't imagine a mod having a USB you can't charge via but who knows what goes on in the long haired gits mind to paraphrase letsavit
