It is confirmed that it does both, but will be very slow for charging as they will have to boost the 5 V from USB to 12.6 V cutting the current to a a bit over a third of what the USB supplies as they will lose up to 10% in heat loss.

Why else would they go to the bother of putting it in some nice little die cast box to test it out.

I'd imagine you'll be able to buy the standalone boards too though, to big an oppurtunity for them to miss with all the modders about these days.

i think the board pics might be misleading regarding size perception. If you compare the board to the silver mod it's allegedly in in looks quite small in relation to the in hand shot. This assumes the mod pic is genuine of course.

of course I'll be buying one 

Not at the moment. Totally wrong direction IMHO.... how about working more on temp control, making it more stable and user friendly..... Na can't do that so we will just do a 200watts monster instead....

shark/evolv endeavour....what a POS overpriced shit mod that will be......

No doubt theyll be available as board kits but it aint cheap having a tool knocked up to die cast a box just to test the board unless theyve found 1 that the board fits.
Im just surmising from a business point of view if they released this first as a premade box mod with a VS logo on it desirability would be immense.

On my laptop the dist between the 4 lipo pins measured about 15 mm, I think the standard pitch is 2.5 mm (7.5 mm across 4) so the pic is at 2:1 on my screen then just use a ruler, simples.
