Anyone seen the new system coming out from Innokin? The Disrupter. It seems to be a 50w mod. The interesting think is that unlike other mods these days it has a removable battery, so you can swap it out with a fresh one when it needs charging. I was having a look at Pauly Meatballs review on You Tube. No idea of cost although he seems to think they will be reasonable. Looks good. Only drawback will be that you are stuck with using the new battery pack, although from what it says on Innokins site it looks a decent unit. innokin.com/index.php/en/product-listings-en/innocell/innokin-disrupter

Great concept for swapping Li-Po batteries over, which is the main drawback with Mods that use a built in battery. But that has to be the ugliest battery pack ever. Wouldn't it look much more appealing if it didnt have those ugly end-plates on it.

I linked to his review above. I dare say if the system takes off, then the cloners will be straight in there to offer a choice of battery pack.

The battery looks like a decent unit being lipo and removeable to charge. This has always been a drawback with the fixed battery systems now coming through from most of the manufacturers. Size wise it looks reasonable. Smaller than my Smok M80's.

They should add a desktop charger for the battery and an exchange battery system for knackered batteries (I know these probably wont be in service longer than the life of 3 or 4 lipos).

From what I can tell it just needs to be plugged in via a usb cable. So can be charged separate from the unit or on pass through. I don't know when they are being released though, so other than a couple of review videos there doesn't seem to be much known about the units. No doubt they will go on pre-sale soon at the usual outlets.

TC wasn't a biggie for me, although no doubt in the offing. Being tied to their batteries is a bit of a bind, but at least you know you are getting decent batteries rather than cloned stuff as you do with 18650's etc.

The life of the batteries/cloning issue should be dealt with by the rrp, I think innokin are aiming for a similar price to an 18650.
Even if they cost around the price of a pair of decent batteries over here, I'll buy a couple of colours if and when I get the system.
At that sort of price, I certainly wouldn't mess around with a cloned battery and I'm not sure anyone should to save a few pennies.

I tend to agree BrenD. Price will be an issue once they are released. Assuming they are competitive they will do okay.
