I tend to reuse old bottles but the sticker residue can be a pain in the a$*e to remove. Quick squirt of WD40 and a wipe over and they lift right off as its like acid on them. Why didn't I know this before

Hmmm might help keeping the coils clean but I wouldn't recommend it

We’re not kidding. One of the suggested uses for WD-40 is to spray a Twister mat to make the game more challenging. Do this at your own risk and use it outside (don’t let children inhale the fumes) and wash your hands afterwards.

Such useful stuff - I keep a can in my van, and I'm always using it for something - and now I will use it for removing sticky label residue from my bottles too

Just don't use WD40 on any rubber parts on a car or other machinery as it attacks the rubber and ruins it.

For anyone who has any left from the smoking days, lighter fluid is fantastic for removing labels or left over adhesive.

Spray some on the bedroom doorknob and the kids can't get in

i just use little tags and string now instead of removing old sticky labels. Nail varnish remover is good too for cleaning of sticky stuff.

I use isopropyl alcohol to get label gunk off. Happened to have a spray can around, evaporates quickly, though, but no nasty fumes.
