You are right about the variance between models robby, but that is largely quality of both design and manufacture, more so than price even. Being exact to a number of degrees with in reason is not as important as smooth output, consistency, speed of the sensing and the control programming. IMO get a good one and they are easy to live with, plus they all work with Kanthal so you still have a good device if you decide you prefer it. That`s my point, the mods are all individuals and need individual treatment. If I wasn`t lucky enough to be getting these mods for review I would have stopped at the Kangxin. For my style of vaping and vaping power needs they will all do what I want them to with very little difference in performance.

I got a few days ago, the istick TC 40w and my KFL+ setup is at 0.06 Ohm using Ni200 tempered wire... as wicking material I am using japanese cotton pad...
In low temperatures, around 200 Celcius degrees it's like being somewhere in Alps, mid winter days, and just breathing... exhaling too little vape/steam and got almost no taste at all...
In fruity e-juices I can get a good amount of vape at around 250 Celcius degrees and in smoky e-juices (castle long clone) I prefer the temperature at 270 Celcius degrees...
I really enjoy vaping at such conditions, I mean in lower ones I feel nothing that can satisfies me, but... is it normal to have such high temps?

I think as long as you are below the point where you will get burn taste draws when the wick is drying out, it is fine A big plus of TC mods is to stop getting vaping nasties down your throat and into your lungs under any vaping circumstances.
