I'm on the verge of taking a flipping sledge hammer to my subtank mini atmo. I have no bloody idea wtf it is doing. The ohms are jumping all over the shop, coil should be 0.7 in rba. It's jumping anywhere between O.6-8.7 Nothing is shorting, screws are tight. Checked the positive pin and insulator on coil and rba all fine? Tried with 3 different coils from 2 different manufacturer and 2 rba decks? Helppp im totally at a loss, this has been checked on 3 different devices Sig 100+ smok bt50 istick 50w.

I had this with the first rba I tried ... turned out the rba needed screwing really tight into the base before it registered the correct resistance (FT rba ... supposedly authentic).

Were there not a few that had an issue where the RBA was not making contact with the 510 pin as seen through the air valve?

Had the same problem, the little grommet around the 510 centre pin collapsed. New grommet/oring and all was good.

I had this with the first rba I tried ... turned out the rba needed screwing really tight into the base before it registered the correct resistance (FT rba ... supposedly authentic). That's why I asked if it was a clone. Had clones from FT and they look spot on but the RBA deck wouldn't make good contact. I compared pins etc to the original and could not identify a difference. I did think the oring on the base of the clone RBA was a bit thicker than on the original RBA but I never confirmed this as I fitted V2 RBA clones to the clone atty and no issues. Regardless of clone or original the atty 510 pin is pushed out much further with an OCC head compared to an RBA. My suspicion is that the original RBA decks have a slightly slimmer oring than the OCC heads and the clones use the same thicker oring on the OCC and the RBA.

Whip the oring of the RBA base and refit, without refitting the tank of course, and see if you get a good resistance reading on a mod.

Ye normally if I switched fromrba to ooc I'd have to tap the base oin in a smidge andvall was good I've tried with more grunt than normal and getting a stable reading now. Really perplexed as its never behaved like this before.

i have had the same issues with minis and big sub tanks, for sure there becomes an issue with pin contact to rta section over time, in the end i treaded some kantal wire through the air holes and joined it at the bottom twisting it loads and cutting some of the tail off ( leaving about a mil ) worked ok for me. i dont find KT very helpfull, specially trying to get spare parts. WTF carnt the british design and produce a good quality tank ( sorry it gets to me )

Id be surprised if the base was the problem, I resolved connection issues on mine with these m.fasttech.com/p/2551300Slightly OT but both myself and a friend ordered two of these each. Mine arrived a few days ago, hers today. She text me earlier asking if mine were okay as hers are useless. Checked and mine are also useless. The posts wobble like mad because the bottom screw doesn't screw in properly and that's the only thing keeping one of the posts in place. Even screwed is as far as possible one side wobbles like crazy and no matter what I did all Myods gave a 'short' error with them. My friends were exactly the same. So 4 ordered. 4 utterly useless.
