In about a week I'm off to sunny Spain for a fortnight. I'll need to take sufficient juice with me to last so I'm starting to think about how I transport around (5ml x 14days) >70ml juice in various flavors on the plane. I'm happy to remove labels to avoid "toxicity" questions (I can visually tell the difference between Red Astaire, Heisenburg, Custard and Pear drops ) but am concerned about leakage. Am I worrying for nothing or are their steps I need to take ?

I'm following this with interest as I'm off to Rhodes in a week and want to know the same stuff. Hoping not to hijack this thread, could those of you in the know detail how to transport all my vaping stuff. Batteries - hand luggage or suitcase? Juice - double-bagged just in case, but again suitcase or with me? Tanks - empty or full? I know this has been asked many times before, but I can't find any of the information I need - apologies to pipeman01 if this derails the thread

not tried yet but ive read tanks will leak unless they are turned upside down and a picture is shown with the mod and tank in the elasticated book holder on the back of each seat but im not sure if thats a good idea as it would be too tempting. batteries have to go in hand luggage. liquids are meant to go in hand luggage as they have to be shown in that poxy little plastic bag that has to seal when going through customs. quite a few have posted that they put some in the hold as well but thats upto the individual. always check the aviation warnings as it can change weekly. also remove labels if theve got the crossbones on them as you dont want them confiscated if you are the random person they stop and check. most reports on the forums is they see so much e cig gear that they dont bat an eyelid at customs. im waiting for one of these www.gearbest.com/electronic-cigarettes/pp_197869.html so hopefully this should hold any bottles if they do decide to leak if the bloody thing ever gets here from gearbest. i have to be careful as always set the alarms off as got lots of metal inside me.

The bottles we took last year were fine and went in the hold, but the juice in the two mods we took in hand luggage leaked the lot due to the pressure in the cabin, my advice empty your atty before boarding . Or stick them in the sealed bags you get when going through security.

Keep all tanks empty, they will leak under pressure change, I put all but one bottles of juice in my suitcase but on each one I removed the lid put a little clingfilm over the top then replaced the lid, didn't have any leaks at all. For the journey I took a 18350 Nemmy with a Magma dripper (because of tank leakage), and mixed some high PG juice (less clouds, easier for stealth vaping ), spare battery for the Nemmy stayed in hand luggage, rest of my kit went in the suitcase, no problems at all. Now that vaping is so popular the guys (and gals) at the airports know about it. Spain and Rhodes you shouldn't have any worries at all

Take the dropper tops off, hold a small bit of cling film over the top of the bottle and stick the dropper tip back in, screw lid back on, fine in hold luggage and no leaks for me, but for super safety stick them in a zip lock style bag too

What I do when going away and transporting juice (anywhere for a few days) It's an ancient trick but saves the rest of your precious cargo from juice attack ziplock bagsIf you get the wrong size you've had it (can't recall what I have) but still. All it has to be is big enough for a juice bottle Cheap as chips

I had all my 'hold' gear in 'freezer to microwave' plastic containers, just in case they were bashed about

Batteries must go in hand luggage, CAA regulations. Juice leaks in the cabin but not massively, tanks will do the same so empty the ones that you're not going to immediately use. The airport Hitlers are a real pain in the ass with e-cigs and tend to be suspicious of them (5 airports in the last month and i've had snags in all of them). Be open and honest with them seems to be the way to go, get rid of all warning labels before you get to the airport and remember that if you have a bottle of liquid of more than 100ml then you MUST be a terrorist.

Strange. I have never had any leaking issues, or problems with security over the last few years. Thats flying to quite a few destinations, including the states.
I have always carried my bits in hand luggage and they have never even looked at them.
Must be lucky I guess.

Squeeze all the air out and recap. Should do you nicely. Cling-film may help too.
If you do it the day before any leaky ones will get air in them.

Thanks everyone, that's pretty comprehensive advice. I'll risk it and cling-film my juice bottles, double bag them in small and large ziplok bags, an pop them in my suitcase. I'll also empty tanks, and treat in the same way. I will take an iSub G with me on a mech mod in 18350 mode in my hand luggage, and may mix up some high PG juice as Q suggests. Sorted!

I agree with Ripshod. If you don't squeeze the air out they will almost certainly leak, if you do they probably won't.
