they froze it due to reaching 2500 euro limit (i cant believe ive recieved that much in year) ...the fact ,that what comes in then goes back out again on another item ,for that item to sold to be replaced yet again doesn't seem to go into the equation just purely what comes in,tried several times last few weeks since warning to resolve though emails but always come back automated response to fill out the forms ,i managed to actually email an individual at one point who said they needed more proofs of address ive now sent 8 of them and as i hadn't heard back presumed it to be sorted ..then last night thy froze it, tried to get though on emails, but you just get back to automated response.... looks like ill have to ring them but cant as still in hospital...hopefully out tomorrow but one of my major hang ups is using the phone so thats gonna be fun :S

This happened to me last year when I sold all my woodworking machinery on eBay. ... I phoned them and explained that it was a one off but they wouldn't lift the freeze until the year was up. Apparently it is to do with the laws to prevent businesses, which would have a larger turnover than us mere mortals, avoiding tax.
I got around it by opening a paypal account for my wife and then simply transfered funds into her bank account from mine each time I used her PayPal account to buy anything.

1 phone call later with the saying ' oh we dont look at you proof of id that you send while its at the warning stage only when we lock the account do we go and look at them usually within 48 hrs, then hold a minute ..yes no problem accounts unlocked ready to use ,oh its so much easier to ring us !' gotta laugh hate the phone never use it one of my phobias so to ring them was a massive deal for me..and then that easy ....why they couldnt do it online ill never know ahh well sorted now just as well sold more or less all the gear id got (down to 1 mech) and was planning my next items then they locked my account down i went into panic mode ! anyway all sorted now

Unfortunately with paypal the best way is to ring them banditruss, I found that out when a payment went t***s up. I'm not a fan of the phone either, funny considering I work in a sales office all day

Thankfully the office I work in isn't a call centre so I don't have to cold call people. I have to admit by the time I get home the last thing I want to do is talk on the phone.
