Hi and I'm a newbie too and have been given some great advice from these lovely guys. I didn't know what set up to go for (been using a CE5)but I still couldn't kick the stinkies (been smoking for over 40 years last 30 on rollies) so I asked for advice and have just (today) received my Istick 50w and nautilus mini just waiting for it to charge fully before I start playing around with it. Don't be afraid to ask questions the guys here are a really friendly bunch and have a good look round the forum

Hiya 2much2young. to the forum. Much advice will be given here. Probably too much at first. If you don't understand what people are saying (all this new jargon...mod? atty? RBA? etc) just ask. We all started knowing nothing, and remember how it was. So ask away. Good luck on your journey, and for taking your life to the healthier level!

Hi & thanks for the welcomes so far. As a couple of you asked, I live in the north east of Scotland in Aberdeen. There appears to be a few shops so will venture into town tomorrow after reading up on some of the items suggested. I would be willing to wait for items off the tinterweb if there are significant savings to be made & at least when I view items in the shops I'll know exactly what I'm ordering. Cheers & all the best for now I'm in Aberdeen too....Best shops in Aberdeen is Cameron on school hill/market - he is called e-cigs scotland and is just next to Boots (where the old Jewster's used to be) opp St Nicholas Kirk - the shop gets busy but still. His prices aren't ridiculous and he'll be able to sort you on your vaping journey There is also an Edinburgh vape meet I go to when I can on the first saturday of every month if you need help spending money If you want anything else just drop me a pm Jane

I'm just thinking 2much2young if you need any help with advanced stuff (complicated - I don't do complicated. I do killing e-cigs) and Cameron can't help Greg might be able to meet you for a coffee and help? There's at least a couple of us quines and loons on here... By the way did you get to the shop yesterday? I also mix my own e-liquid (sorry Cameron) and have done for years so if you need any help with that I'm just a pm a way

Welcome to the forum 2much2young ..... some great advice from the folks on here, I would say, reasearch as much as possible, only sell good quality products................ and don't expect to make your fortune overnight . Put in the graft, and I'm sure you'll do well...... Good luck

Well I went to the Ecigs-Scotland store in Aberdeen yesterday lunchtime & had a good chat with 1 of the lassies & explained what I was after.Since it was my 1st device & I was looking for something simple to use so in the end I bought a Curve 2 by Tecc. It is 20W with a 1.5ohm coil & it is very similar to the istick. She let me try a few different flavours & in the I chose Redberry & liquorice & also Arctic mint. So I have now been cig free for the last 18hrs & so far haven't even thought about having a stinkie even though my Mrs smokes but even she has been giving it a go & thinks she will get 1 in the not to distant future but I might just kindly give her mine & then I can order some new shiny stuff from the tinterweb Thanks for all the messages so far & I'm sure I'll have lots of Q's to ask as I get further into this 'hobby' due to my addictive nature & love of all things shiney !!!

The best Advice I can give you is to pin down our very own Nosmo-King and fairyrings , a lovely couple whom I believe are in your neck of the woods and tag along to a vape meet we have monthly in Edinburgh. You'll get to try a lot of new hardware and probably take home a lot of free e liquid as well/ On top of that we can promise a great day out.

I like the thought of hand me downs to the Mrs for new shineys . I likey a lot. Also e-cigs fall out very easily of handbags (and then die) so you it makes good sense to give the Mrs hand me downs!!! . I know. I am the 'mod' e-cig) destroyer! My only rival is Pepperty's daughter LOL Stay on here and you'll soon discover postie stalking (not recommended remotely or when it's 'that time of the month'.) and all things shiney . Your morning prize for the success of the weekend is a dancing llama 2much2young !

I believe the Curve is a rebadged Istick. I wouldn't recommend you buy anymore of these as the 510 connector is not adjustable and its held together with mastic. There have been many failures of the 20w version 510's. Check out the I stick repair guide in my sig to see how poorly constructed they are. Hopefully yours will last a good few months. If you like the form factor consider the I stick 30 as they have a far superior 510.

Welcome to the forum. Loads of great advice given already, so I won't confuse you further. Just take it slowly and you will soon learn what you like and don't.
