A mate of mine wants to upgrade from his Ego spinner to an istick (wants something thats small & fits in his shirt pocket), so i suggested getting one from china because theryre a 3rd of the price, but most of the cheaper ones on FT are up as "styled" so Im guessing that means theyre copies/clones. Just wondered if anyone on here has ever bought one & what theyre like ? (if theyre crap i'll tell him to go for a genuine one) Fasttech istick searchThanks

Ive had a couple of 20w clones that have been Ok. others have had em that have been DOA or only lasted a couple of days to a week. If I was to buy another Id buy a legit eleaf 30w. Still a fair price.

To be honest a kraken and nemesis are the perfect shirt pocket combo, my daily go to for work. A shirt pocket keeps the kraken upright enough to never leak and you'll never get a better balance of vapour vs flavour.
As for isticks, I've never bought into the originals or clones, but the fasttech smowell 50W has been a faultless workhorse for the Mrs, so much so that her subbox hasn't sen the light of day in months. (many people complain about the smowell, but after 6-7 months it's still faultless for us)

I have both the Earl and Smart istick clones in 20w and 30w alongside my genuine Eleaf's - all have been fine very little to choose between them.

Bought a couple of the 50w ones when they first came out and they're still working fine although admittedly i don't use them every day or anything.

I have had a couple of the Smart 20w versions. One died after 6 months, but the other is still going strong. I'm not sure there is much to choose between the original and the clones TBH.

Just ordered a 30 style today as a car back up. It was just over a tenner. What's to think about?

I got a couple of the 20W clones, they've gone up (!!) to $15-odd, so just about a tenner - they were £8.50 when I ordered mine in Aug. Both fine, do what they say on the tin, and hold charge just fine so far Just treat the threads with a bit of caution when attaching tanks and they'll be fine...

I've got 2, bought them last December when the rush was on, original was going great 9 months later, the other (also original) left in box as new to take on holiday in September, failed, started 8 hours on a charge, within a week was down to two, well used one carried on like a trooper (eight hours charge minimum), until last week and I crossed threaded it, silly me. So the originals can vary, not a lot of advice, just letting you know.

I had a smart 20. It was brilliant until it just stopped working. I took it apart, and everything was still connected, nothing fried. Very cheap, got six months out of it, can't complain. Replaced it with Athena smart 30. Can now vape for 4 or 5 days without having to charge. Koopor mini prize and a nitecore charger and two 25 r batteries on the way. Happy days.

DO NOT buy the 20W version the build quality is generally poor. For a couple of pounds more buy a 30W or for 50p more buy a 40w then you will have the flexibility to move to temperature control some time, if you want to and they have a bigger capacity 2600 mAh battery. Should last a day or more easily.
