I made 15ml of juice based upon a Dragonfruit Punch clone, 14% Dragon Fruit TPA 4% Vanilla Swirl TPA 2% Bavarian cream TPA
I made a mistake and mixed it with the wrong ratios. 4% bavarian, 2% VS.
I had a test the next day and the only way to describe it was that the flavour and vape were thick enough to be cut with a knife. Delicious thick, creamy, sweet dragonfruit that litterally stuck to your lips, but a little chemical in the background, no problem I'd gladly wait a week or more for this to mature. Five days later and I've had a second try, the mix has mellowed, still very nice but the intensity has gone. The thick custardy cream has all but gone and the dragon fruit has taken over, its punchy but almost no cream. Should I up the custards? Or wait another week to see how it settles?
I made another 2x30ml on the first taste so could risk expermenting as I'm also thinking that it could do with a little bite perhaps Vanilla Cream deluxe.
Any recomendations welcome.

I've never used any Dragonfruit concentrate ( yes there are some I don't have! ) so probably can't be much help SteveF . . . . but looking at those percentages I can easily imagine it being the overpowering, dominant flavour. I'd probably have gone more around 8% on it with higher ratios of your creamy flavours.

If you want creamy/custardy flavour, that needs to be higher % than the fruit in my experience. The custards are easily masked by the stronger flavours SteveF

I've only ever used Dragonfruit at 2% in a Mother's Milk clone recipe, and have read that it's really overpowering at higher ratios, so maybe add some more VC to the mix to give you that creamy taste you want. Bavarian Cream can also overpower at higher percentages so take care with the amount you use.

cheers guys, found the orginal recipe but got the name wrong, turns out it was based on Sucker Punch (which I have never tried) and according to that recipe the dragonfruit percentage was defintely 14%. At least I got that right. obviously I was quite surprised and a little dissapointed by the total reversal of the flavour after a few days, I've decided turn it into a 90ml mix to reduce the fruit levels and increase the custards. Just means more juice Yep I've seen dragon fruit inclusion listed at 8-10% in quite a few recipes but who am I to argue with someones recipe idea. I have already made a couple of 10ml testers from other recipes that I thought initially might have too much flavouring. With both of these I went for 2/3 strength only to find that perhaps 20-22% flavouring was bang on.

I enjoy a good ' full on ' flavour from anything I vape SteveF, so an overall 20-25% ratio as an average suits me, my tastes . . . . whatever I'm using. After a time you get to know what ratios of certain flavours may suit you, or not - then you have to be guided by your instincts whatever a recipe may call for. While it may seem like a faff, making a small 10ml sample whilst you're at the perfecting stage is worth it in the long run.

I adjusted the levels over the 90ml mix, which brought it down to 11.5% dragon fruit and upped custard and vanillas to 8.5%, also means that I have 30ml of low nic to put into the TFV4. Todays taste test is definitely edging towards a fairly even custard and dragon fruit. Quite a nice vape just doesn't have that donkey choking thickness that came from the first test.
