I bought some shoe insoles last week described as "extremely comfortable". When I tried them they were excruciatingly painful, so they were SNAD in eBay terms. (Significantly not as described.) They were only £1.99, but on principle because they were SNAD, I contacted the seller and she said return them for a refund. So I weighed them, looked at the Royal mail website and 2nd class mail to return them was £1.33, almost as expensive as the insoles. I contacted the seller again and told her this and asked if she intended to pay return postage and she said she would, so I posted them back to her. Today, I had a request to cancel the transaction which I haven't done. Instead, I sent her an email and asked her when does she intend to refund my postage as promised. Back came a message from her saying she would when I cancel the transaction. I may be daft, but I'm not stupid. As far as I know, once I cancel the transaction, she gets her seller fees back and I can say goodbye to my return postage and all I'll get is 66p refund. So while I continue to refuse to cancel, she won't get her seller fees back. Can anyone confirm this please? Thanks. (Sorry for the long post )

eBay won't get involved with return postage disputes Nicky, that's between buyer and seller. I have their address River, it's in Manchester. I haven't heard anything from them yet after my email, what a surprise. They've refunded my payment, so I can cancel the transaction. Pfft. As I don't intend to until I get my refund, can they withdraw theirs?

Anne, son say's email her again and say you will cancel the transaction when she has sent your postage cost or you will have no other option to leave her bad feedback. Son says she wont want you to do that Has she left any feedback on your account?

No she hasn't. She has loads of negs, so won't care about another one. Top-rated seller. 88546 feedback, purple shooting star. 99.7%. Over 12 months 74 negs and 128 neutrals. A couple of the older negs complaining about having to pay return postage. It just goes to show how worthless Top rated seller status is. I shall ignore that in future.

not 100% sure but if you cancel the transaction then you may not be able to register a dispute with ebay

Don't need to register a dispute Gordy as she's issued a refund, unless she's withdrawn it by now, I haven't looked. I will tomorrow later.
