This may sound a little odd, but does ejuice change colour after its been heated / vaped? I am using an Innokin iSub Tank in blue. I believe the tank is polycarbonate. The ejuice is clear, but the residue ejuice in the drip trip is a tinted blue. I blotted both the ejuice from the bottle and the residue on to a paper towel.
Am I going crazy?

Juice does change colour as it heats in the tank, mine usually to a honey or toffee colour but never blue ! Not sure if colour would leach from the isub tank, I think Perpetua uses an isub, she may be able to give you her opinion

Appreciate the comment lisburnvapes. I can only presume the ejuice is stripping or leaching colour from the tank. That or magic.

Is it a hard juice like menthol ?? if so that will kill the poly tank.

I'd stop vaping that immediately. If it is the poly tank, which seems highly likely, I wouldn't want any of it in my lungs, doing any amount of unknown harm. Stop using it until you find the cause.

@broadblaster I am not 100% sure if it is a hard menthol, but it had menthol in it. tim Yep as soon as I noticed the blue residue, I stopped vaping it. Thanks for all the comments, really appreciate it.

Sounds like the menthol is eating the poly tank

as above the poly tanks really do not like menthol in them at all i would stop vaping it and wash the tank ASAP and hope it don't crack your tank.

Tank has been emptied and cleaned. Thankfully no cracks have appeared so far. I was aware of issues with citrus flavours and tanks. Thank you again everyone for the input, I really do appreciate this community.
Today I learned menthol kills poly tanks.

Today I learned menthol kills poly tanks. You might want to look further into "tank crackers", as menthol is only one of many. I don't use any poly tanks, so I didn't know it was on the list. Google it though, there will be info on what to avoid.

this is a very old list and does not have menthol on it but it has been known to bugger them up and as said this is old i would also add that i'm sure some flavours have been changed over the yrs so they now do not do the poly tanks in. bigdaddyvapor.com/index.php?main_page=page&id=8

I have a Smok TCT and eGo One Mega. I use the iSub as a test tank as its super easy to clean and fill. Another lesson learned.

Nothing much further in the way of advice to add mikedidthis . . . . although I believe the Isub's poly tank was said to be resistant to crackage. It's possible that it's just a colour coated tank, like many of the glass tanks tend to be if they're coloured and your menthol based eliquid is stripping the dye used. Although I keep my poly iSubs for Dessert type eliquids, then use the G for those flavours known to be crackers. Our forum ' Crackers ' list may be useful as well. allaboute-cigarettes.proboards.com/thread/13481/eliquids-flavourings-cause-issues-tanks?page=1
