Yes I agree it's a shame about this. I shouldn't have to adjust the length at all

Is this stuff DNA200 only? I have a reel of 28 AWG NiFE from CrazyWire that could use an outing. Depends on what the TCR value is of that particular version of NiFe30 wire, Stealth Vape NiFe30 is 0.00500 which is quite close to Ni 0.00620, so yes I can use it on any TC Mod by reducing the Temp by about 20F, Resistherm is closer to Ti so would either need a Ti setting or a reduction in temp, or if the mod allows a TCR input then that is easier. You can find the temp diff in the Wire Wizard part of Steam-Engine and select Equivalents

Well I know I shouldn't have to but I've put an extra o-ring behind my 510 pin which has enabled me to screw down for a tighter connection. All seems well

That was an edumication, glad I have today off as the research alone takes a while. Got the NiFe30 working on an evic mini vt. The first job was to flash the firmware to 3.0, with the free fw from Joyetech. Then from here to set the temp coefficient, which for NiFe30 SV appears to be 500. Next select TCR M1 on the Evic (three button press, up button till TCR M1 mode shows). Coiled up a UD Bellus to try it out. I built a single 26 AWG 8 wrap coil, 3 mm diameter, spaced, it came out at 0.15 ohms. Firing it now at 23.5 W (a number extracted from my rectum) 430F TC and it appears to be performing nicely. Not too hot, but warm, and a nice jolt of flavour with full airflow open. This could have legs if dry burning the coil a la Kanthal is enough to keep the coil working, recoiling every 3 or so days does get to be a chore. E&OE (very likely). <-- confirmed! 0.40 mm not 40 awg

Next select TCR M1 on the Evic (three button press, up button till TCR M1 mode shows). Coiled up a UD Bellus to try it out. I built a single 40 AWG 8 wrap coil, 3 mm diameter, spaced, it came out at 0.15 ohms. Firing it now at 23.5 W (a number extracted from my rectum) 430F TC and it appears to be performing nicely. Not too hot, but warm, and a nice jolt of flavour with full airflow open. I was trying to figure out how you got a 3mm coil on a Bellus then I saw the AWG. AFAIK you can dry burn, but pulse it at 10 - 15w, rather than glowing hot.
