Lower that in temp mode, but for very low you should have your mod resistance set properly, by the graph the lowest to still get 200 W is about 0.04 ohm, 100 W about 0.025 ohm and 50 W 0.01 ohm.

Today's build is:
SS316L (StealthVape) / 26awg / 3mm / 8 wraps = 0.25ohm
At 450f / 40w I am getting great flavour and vapour. Will wait until I a few more tanks, but so far its promising.

I'm a bit late to the party with these wires. I got a bit fed up with Ni200 & Ti, having to recoil so frequently was the main issue, so lost a bit of interest in TC & went back to Kanthal. Saw this thread and was inspired to have another go with some different wire. Drove an 80 mile round trip today to a little vape shop that had NIFe30, NiFe48 & SS 316l. So I have bought a bit of each, all at 0.40 mm.
Now I have to relearn all the TC stuff on the DNA200s, and also download the TCRs etc. It's like being back at school & I hope it's worth it:)

Using this tonight and I must say I likey. 3mm ID 9 wraps dual coils in a griffin at 0.09 ohm 55w 450F on a DNA200 Lovely smooth vape Tastes great And as it's softer than ss it seems easier to make a good connection with the grub screws. Think I'll stick with this for a week now and see how it goes

Hmmm when vaping this the ohms seem to change quite dramatically like from 0.09 to 0.19 It still vapes amazing though but I'm wondering if this is normal as I've never seen such a difference before Anybody know please?

That is fine by Steam Engine, 2.15 the res at 482 F 250 C. It seems too much, that would be 720 F with a TCR of 0.005, but with this wire the TCR is not good enough the materials profile is much more accurate so as per 1st line of this post.

Awesome thanks VapingBad Ive never really used steam engine, only to download curves lol Well yeah like I said it still vapes lovely so I'm so grateful you've put my mind at ease sir. Think I'm going to get on with this wire. It seems to just vape how it's supposed to. It just shows how having a spot on curve can change things for the better. Hmmm I think ss wire might go down the ladder a rung for now

Hmmm I found by extending the 510 pin on the griffin that my ohms are now staying a lot more stable

It all needs to be tight, not had a Griffin and definitely will not be after reading that, FFS we are about 18 months in with temp limiting and atty manufactures still producing sub-standard equipment And before someone chimes it with why should they make them for temp limiting, it is in everyone's interests to have a solid connection and terminals that clamp rather than cut your wire, temp limiting just makes it more obvious

Is this stuff DNA200 only? I have a reel of 28 AWG NiFE from CrazyWire that could use an outing.

Every mod I own has adjustment in the 510, best being spring loaded and solid pin tube mods like the Astro so having on both the mod and atty reduces connection quality, but the lack of a standard 510 length is a problem.
