You need to try some different flavours! when I first started vaping I was like most people and wanted something that tasted like tobacco! it didn't happen, I tried loads of different ones and they all tasted rank, anything from cardboard to puke, I was on the verge of going back to cigs they really were that bad, once I started on the flavours I didn't look back, it's been over a year now and I'm still finding new flavours I like, I think most people here seem to have their go to juice, mine are Blueberry or Raspberry for my all day vapes, I buy a new premiun juice each week as a treat a keep another tank just for those, you may be lucky and find a baccy one you like, but my betting is once you find a different juice you like, the baccy ones will end up in the bin, I really want to start making my own juice but for now once I find one I like I bulk buy as it works out cheaper from Bluestar, Joose Juice or One pound liquid,

Congrats, you'l be glad to know from a heath / addiction perspective the tobacco addiction has cleared. Your next addiction will be shineyitis.. doesn't impact health but does significant damage to your wallet. Given enough time, this addiction becomes less, but never seems to really go away... and just when you have it under control, the mad scientist appears and mixing becomes and obsession.... I have to say that I am not expecting shineyitis to take hold (well, beyond having to make sure my Nautilus Mini remains shiny of course!)or get into mixing or anything like that....I am one for keeping things simple and, once I am comfortable/trust something, sticking with that particular thing, hence why I have stayed with the same liquid flavour for now rather than trying out the other 4 flavours that I have yet to try! There are, however, 2 more significant reasons though: firstly, as I haven't been able to work for nearly 5 years, I have learned to be very careful with money (smoking was my only vice left lol) and, most importantly, I really want a Playstation 4 and can only buy it when I have saved that amount from giving up and there are other things I want after that so I am very focused! Thank you for the warning about it though...I will be sure to keep an eye out for the warning signs and stick needles in my eyes or something to stop me if it comes to it @ mowjo Yeah, I probably will try other flavours at some point...I already have another 4 that I have from when I started off (another tobacco one and 3 others). While the one I am currently using tastes almost nothing like tobacco, it is a pleasant flavour to use...it doesn't taste of anything in particular really but just has a nice sweet taste and aftertaste....maybe as my taste buds continue to wake up from their 2 decade long dormancy, it may change

I wouldn't be without them. Hangsen "Golden tobacco RY6" (or RY4) dirt cheap from Fasttech... 75p/10ml LT e-cigs "The Moors" a strong flavour tobacco mixed with plum/date/fruit overtones. (£1.80/10ml) If it wasn't for these, I'd never have made it. Then again, many flavours got bought and wasted until I found good ones. There are a few from LiQuid (£1) which I also vape. Black Tobacco (licourice) and even the British. None of them taste like a cigarette, but they are satisfying.

my only real advice would be to get a second tank and have a spare battery and at least 2 packs of coils, the reason being you often find one pack isn't enough, some flavous will gumk up a coil and burn it out in under a week others will run through the same coil for a month without any noticeable changes, and ive had a couple of bad coils in the different packs,
I bought most of my current gear from prime vendors on amazon and its worked out the same price as getting it from china with the billy bonus its arrived with a couple of days rather than a month +
sure Ive bought loads from china as well and i'm currently 50/50 about splurging on a new tank, my original ego batteries are all in a pen pot and virtually useless I have a spare istick 30w in a cupboard and another 2 on the way.

Congratulations Nursemorph on your first week off the smokes. It's a great feeling isn't it :-)
From you say I think you may well be one of the lucky few who doesn't fall victim of Shinyitus. Be warned though, there is another evil lurking out there ready to pounce, and it's called Custarditus. You may have a chance to fight this evil if you avert your eyes from any post or thread that employs words or phrases such as "creamy custardy goodness". I was not warned and there is no hope for me now! But my oh my it's moreish! :-)
Keep up the great work Nursemorph and well done again!

djs Thanks for the advice....to be honest I'm not too bothered about tobacco tastes as the last couple of years I never particularly liked the taste of cigarettes anyway so if a liquid doesn't taste like tobacco then I don't mind. I'm not an overly fussy person so as long as the flavour is vaguely pleasant, then it's enough for me nanotm Thanks...that was what I was looking to do at some point. Firstly, I wanted to give it a few weeks to make sure vaping would be effective and would work long-term before I then went out and bought a second battery etc. I've already got another set of coils on the way as was buying something else off Amazon anyway. @hondo Thank you for the kind words. Yes, it is satisfying, especially as I can now see that buying a PS4 is a real possibility (couldn't justify the expense otherwise) and will be a good reward for myself when I have saved enough. Yeah, I can imagine that Custarditus can be very severe...I will avoid that one by simply not buying anything with the word "custard" in it, although if I happened to see a Custard and Banana combination, I would not be able to resist!! Oh, and congrats on your avoidance of nearly 1,000 cigs....pretty good milestone you are getting close to

congrats on making the switch.. you may find juice flavour becomes more important as your taste buds and mouth start to recover, the bleeding gums which my dentist assured me were a +ive sign of oral health recovery freaked me out a lil.. ( didnt last long either phew!!) even if you fall foul of a bout of shinyitus i did (still am).. as long as your spending is less than what u spent on backy its still a win and even if your vape budget has a lil creep over the backy spend limit you have something tangible in your hand for the cash perhaps a subtank might be an option for a 2nd atty you can close off the airflow close to the nautilus but would also allow you to try a more open airy vape too Cheers!!

greendog Thanks for that! @hondo No worries....their highest nicotine level for that one is only 6mg so it's not enough at the moment so I can easily resist the temptation! phatfil Yeah, that's what I figure will happen...certainly I can taste the juice flavour more than when I started (though that could just be because I swapped the coil with a cleaned one!). Haven't had bleeding gums or anything luckily but then I have healthy gums anyway. I guess it's possible I may succumb to shinyitus but I doubt it as I have my goal and extra spending will delay that goal! I had been thinking about a different atomiser to the Nautilus as, while it is good and I like using it, the fact I've read it doesn't like VG levels above 50 makes me think about a different one, given the sore throat I've been getting (presumably due to the PG)....I'm ordering some 50/50 liquids later to see if that makes a difference and, if it doesn't, then I'll need to investigate further.

@nursemorph - if you are contemplating a new tank, you could do a lot worse than a Subtank Mini - they are cheaper to buy from overseas, but they are solid tanks with a good choice of available heads, and also the chance to try building your own coils and wicking, should you wish to in the future.

Thanks chykensa The Kangar was what I was originally going to buy before going for the Nautilus. To be honest, I'm not really that bothered about being able to rewick etc as I can't imagine wanting to as I don't have the patience these days but it would be good to have the option in case I suddenly felt adventurous! It all depends how it goes with the 50/50 liquid and whether I need to go to a level that the Nautilus' coil can't handle...I've ordered a couple of 50/50 liquids today (wanted to reduce the Nicotine levels to 12 anyway and the LiQuid ones at 50/50 are 12) so will know in a few days whether it's the PG (or VG or whichever one it is) that is causing the sore throat issue or not

as a general rule of thumb the higher the vg content the thicker the juice. some juice companies thin their vg down with distilled water, its called avg i think. its ideal for people such as yourself who want to vape higher vg but dont want the juice to be too thick. ruthless juice is a good example. i vape slurricane by ruthless which is 90vg/10pg but is thin enough to use in a nautilaus. there are many juice companies so you might have to look around.
just something to think about if you want to reduce pg but dont want thicker juice.
enjoy

@nursemorph I spend a small fortune on e-cigs now am debt free LOL (don't tell social work!!! rofl) But firstly - huge congrats on finding us and sensible spending And I can categorically say without vaping - I would not be debt free . Pre vaping budget (housekeeping) - £70 a week - £50 of that on stinkies (roll ups) - never enough monies to eat!!! Always enough monies to smoke though (doesn't that sound silly now?) Never mind paying off debts (they didn't really get paid off) from being unwell (mentally) Vaping - back in the day (4 years ago) £50 = 3 months vape stuff from china, mixed my own to save even more cash It wasn't rocket science!!!
