there is an rba for the nauti available now via ebay which is cheaper than a pack of nauti coils, if you feel the need to get a more customised vape out of the tank, the pre made coils it ships with run around 0.9ohms and you can crank up the watts on that puppy (I put mine to about 17) but its a thirsty blighter compared to the premade coils, still its pretty cheap and aside from looking slightly odd I found it works well, apart from one oddity, when the tank needs refilling it unscrews from the base and I need to use a pair of pliers to unscrew it from the chimney in the tank.... mind you its a tiny deck so you need good eye sight and good light to see what your doing with it /

greendog Thank you for the advice there...I wasn't aware that you could get thinner juices like that so it's something I'll look into. @johanino Thanks...and congrats on being debt-free! I am in a lucky position where I don't have any debts (these days anyway....I learnt my lesson the hard way after being declared bankrupt and losing my house with debts of over £100k including the mortgage...that was also due to mental illness, losing my job etc..thankfully those days are well behind me now) as, despite not working for nearly 5 years, I have been careful with my money and my only real expense beyond bills and food was cigarettes! And, yeah, people addicted to things will always find the money to feed their addiction, even if it means going without silly little things like food! nanotm Thanks...that rba sounds extremely fiddly! I'll keep it in mind but it sounds like patience is required for that one and I don't have much these days! Yesterday evening, I recalled something from a few videos I have seen of people vaping and that was that some people would, after firing the battery, take a small puff but not inhale it before taking the longer puff and inhale...couldn't work out why they were doing it but, decided to give it a go and, so far, it has helped a huge amount with the sore throat that I was getting. Still slightly sore but nowhere near as much as before (except for the first vape of the day..that is still a tough one for soreness, even with the watts turned down to 8)....also, it seems to help with the taste as there is more flavour doing it that way. Still don't quite understand why that small puff helps, maybe it's just the initial firing of the coil that is just harsh. Will see how it goes but, if the soreness is reduced then I can just continue with the Nautilus and current juices.....have still got some 50/50 ones on the way anyway so that will help. Fingers crossed

I tend to keep my watts at the higher end of what the coil can handle so I get a smooth vape, when I turned it down it was nasty and damp and burned my throat, that's totally ignoring the fact that with the standard straight tip it would spit at me all the time/ the angled one www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00VCCS4M6?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00 seems to prevent it from making the loud crackling noises and any bubbles get no further than the bend having said that I do have to take the tip off and blow it into a bit of kitchen towel about half way down each tank and wash it out in the sink after a couple of tanks worth (every couple of days) it may be just in my head but since I got that tip but ever since I started using it no matter how strong the pg is my throat feels fine, before that it was starting to feel like it was burning half way through a cuppa /

nanotm I am also a big fan of the rotating drip tips for many reasons, not least the avoidance of spitting and a burnt tongue. I don't have that particular one but I got some metal ones from Slowtech and I couldn't vape without them now to be honest. I'm not sure how subohmers cope with the spitting issues unless it just doesn't spit at low ohms due to the extra heat, but at 1.6+ I got a lot of spitting. I am recently finding though that it also seems to be dependent on the juice and VG/PG mix as well, as my latest juices (70/30) hardly spit at all (usually only when first fired up in the morning). I also find the the rotating drip tips smooth out the vape and give a more smoke like texture to the vapor. Hard to describe, but it does something for sure, possible due to the bend in the tip. My other favourite tip is the Kayfun Lite Plus V2 tip, but it gives a completely different harsher vape to the rotating tips for sure. Like you I have to wash the rotating tips out each day as juice catches in the tip, but it takes 20 seconds so no hassle at all. I wish someone out there would design and release a rotating drip tip with the build and machine quality of the SvoeMesto tips. I'd pay good money for two or three of them :-)

Hey everyone, just thought I'd give another update on how things are going as I haven't been round the forum much (keep forgetting it's here! The wonderful side-effects of several heavy duty painkillers).
So, am now 17 days cigarette free and, apart from the couple of mild urges I got a couple of days after starting, have not had the urge or need to have a cigarette at all...even going several hours without vaping as I had to do one day last week is not making me want a cig. As you can see from my status, I have saved nearly £125 in the 3 1/2 weeks I have been vaping...however, taking into account the various bits I have bought, it is closer to £30 profit, so to speak.
Am still using the iStick 30w and the Nautilus Mini that was recommended to me by the wonderful people here and, apart from the leaking issue I had in the first week, have had no issues at all with it so far. Technically, I am still on my first coil but I have used 3 in total when trying different flavours.
Speaking of flavours, I tried some of the others I originally bought as I'd run out of the one I was using....my chest and throat couldn't tolerate 2 of the flavours (Banana and Cherry)...I put this down to the liquid being quite thin so using more each time and the PG affecting me as expected. Peppermint I didn't bother trying as it is the same consistency and, as for the other Tobacco flavour one, I have to say it was revolting and made me feel sick after 2 puffs of it! I could buy the 2 fruit flavours in 50/50 levels but I am quite happy with the flavour of the tobacco one I started with and am sticking with that for now. SInce my previous update, I did try the tobacco flavour in a 50/50 mix with 12 mg/ml Nicotine (as opposed to 60/40 and 18mg) as I wanted to reduce the nicotine a bit and the 50/0 mix is much better for my throat and, while it still makes it sore, it is not as bad as before and is something I can live with.
Just ordered a second Nautilus Mini yesterday as I thought it would be good to have a spare just in case and I saw no reason to change what's working well....plus, despite washing everything twice and a different coil, I can still taste cherry in it! Not unpleasant mind. Will also be buying another IStick 30 when I have the money available , again, just to be safe. One strange thing I have noticed recently is that the istick is not showing the ohm of the coil correctly for some reason...it did to begin with but now shows a 1.8 ohm coil as 2.0 ohms. No biggie as it still works fine but strange nonetheless...have also worked out when the coil needs rinsing as I find it needs longer puffs each time after a week or so.
Anyway, that's it for now...just wanted to update in case anyone was interested. Will try and remember to pop in more often in future

the coil reading gets messed up with condensation on the threads, if like me you puff a lot you will see the ohms increase as the day goes on then unscrew the tank and dab around the 510 connector with some kitchen towel to remove the liquid and also gently across the base of the tank's connector. @nursemorph

I was just thinking of you yesterday Nursemorph and wondering how things were going. It's great to hear things are going so well and congratulations on 17 days smoke free. I'm enjoying a naughty mid week glass of wine so I'll drink to many many smoke free years to come for both of us. Have a great smoke free Christmas and

nanotm I don't puff that much to be honest...well, I don't think I do anyway...4-5 puffs 14-15 times a day doesn't seem a lot to me. The reading tends to stay the same, although will sometimes drop from 2.0 to 1.9..haven't noticed anything on the threads but then I haven't been looking as the only time I look at them closely is after I have cleaned the whole thing. @hondo Thank you and hope you also have a great smoke-free time.

@nursemorph well yeah I think I get through about a tank a day, sometimes its more sometimes slightly less, another thing I have noticed about the coil resistance is that it tends to change as the coil gets gunked up, before I realised it would semi self clean with different liquids I burnt out several coils that way rather faster than I thought I should have (but I still love custards and sweets) so now rather than swapping the coil every time I change the juice I try to rotate through them on the same coil, if I do a thin juice like menthol then swap to a thicker one like rhubarb and custard then back to menthol the colour in the tank starts to look like the rhubarb n custard mix but the coil resistance often drops back down as well. obviously we all have our favourite flavours and some are real coil destroyers but the combinations can be funky and cool and lovely or you might find you need to chug through something that's nasty to get down to what you wanted, either way it seems to make the coils last longer, since I started doing it my coils last more than a week which is perfect for me

nanotm I only get through 1 ml or so a day, sometimes a bit more. I currently only use one liquid so, when I feel like the coil is getting overwhelmed (I notice I have to take longer puffs to get the same amount and the flavour tends to drop), I just swap it out with another one and rinse the old one. I have noticed that flavours stay even after rinsing...it has taken 2 days for the taste of cherry to go from my current coil! I have no idea how long the coils will last me as I haven't burned one out yet...I'm still using the original 2 and one from a pack I bought in rotation, though I would say the original 2 have probably been used more than a week in total each.

I'm hardcore heading towards nic free @nursemorph so you are doing just fab!!! I found as soon as variable power came on the scene 4 years ago my juice consumption went up overnight! Now it's even higher!!! Mixing your own would be a good next step when you have the funds for basic kit (don't know but think it's about £30 for initial outlay then it gets cheaper and some bits you can get from poundshop and boots). It's an option for (a) control over your mix and (b) to save more! If something isn't right in my mix it's so easy to get it sorted Hope that helps and well done you!!!!

@johanino Thank you for the advice and the kind words. I'm not sure mixing my own will be something that I will do as I don't really have the patience for it....just refilling the Nautilus with juice most days is testing my patience levels! Saving more money would, of course, be good, but I am quite happy with where everything is currently....beyond the usual bills, food and stuff, I don't really have any outgoings beyond the vaping so I'm not really tight on finances luckily. My main thinking at the moment is regarding trying to get different ratio juices as the juices, even at 50/50, are still bothering my throat and chest...not badly but enough to want me to try and sort it out. As I have just ordered another Nautlius Mini, I'm trying to find thinner liquids (to counter the high VG or PG level, whichever it is) as I know the Naut struggles beyond 50/50 mix...I could just order a Kangar or similar but I'd rather not buy something else unless I have to

@nursemorph, I just today mixed my first DIY liquid (I'm so excited). It's actually pretty easy with a little common sense and I think it might help you to find the PG/VG/flavour mix that works for you, not to mention how cheap it is. That said, if I'm honest I was in no mind to try this just 4 weeks ago myself, so you are right, best concentrate on just vaping for now and avoiding those dreaded smokes.
The guys over in the DIY section of this forum are amazing and so helpful. It's a good option to consider when and if you want to go that route.

@nursemorph if you are chesty on your mix try upping the VG. I used ( a long time ago) to vape high PG liquids. Then the other year wasted a GP appointment chesty - turned out chest was clear but it was the PG... When you are ready mixing your own will be so much fun . I don't steep and only vape about 2% flavour concentrate. It really (like your VG/PG problem) just trial and error But great to hear how well you are doing!!!
