Hi all just noticed this on a well known uk site. Royal Mail have started destroying parcels containing nicotine over 5mg in strength. We have brought out a 4.8mg nicotine, which can be sent via Royal Mail (the quality is the same – you’ll just need to adjust the mixing % slightly if you usually use 72mg). What do you guys think?

Seems incredibly fishy. How on earth would royal mail know the nic strength of a liquid in a sealed parcel, or even if it contained nic at all? On top of this a 4.8mg nic base is as weak as a politicians moral compass. Someone is trying to make a quick buck my misleading the public IMO. We have brought out a 4.8mg nicotine, which can be sent via Royal Mail (the quality is the same – you’ll just need to adjust the mixing % slightly if you usually use 72mg). - SLIGHTLY.....this is taking the micky, the piss, extracting the urine, and has the stench of bovine faeces all over it. Not a dig at you puffer2, but this info source has a lot to answer for.

Makes a change. They normally just lose them or post to the wrong address.

Only going to affect the honest vendors, regulation has not stopped the more serious issue 18650s and other Li battery cells that are in the post every day especially from regulation mad eBay.

I was thinking the very same thing, their normal price for 72mg nic for 50ml has gone up £2 their 48mg nic is £3 cheaper for the same amount. not sure if im losing out or not, i mix at 6nic looks like i lose 208ml of liquid but its £3 cheaper

Or to put it bluntly, that is complete bollocks.

Well done sydsut for checking the source of information for any truth.
There is this:
"Poisonous, toxic liquids, solids or gases. Including substances that are liable to cause death or injury if swallowed or inhaled or by skin contact, such as arsenic, beryllium, cyanide, fluorine, rat poison."
Technically, they could destroy a package containing nicotine regardless of strength.

For a start I think it was written by someone who knows nothing about mixing ejuice. Edit if the site is Vapeable then it now says Which makes no sense either. Confusion of both decimal places and mg/ml units with percentages seems to be rife.

I have little doubt that 4.8mg should read 48mg and 5mg should read 50mg my guess is the person who wrote it does not understand the difference between % and mg.
