I don't really get colds, coughs and flu any more. I suspected PG was probably the reason. Then again, I dodged many colds as a lad even when my then-current girlfriends got them. Perhaps I am a super being...? or was that a Pig flying past the window.

They`ve known this is possible since 1942 "A more in-depth article was printed in the 1942 issue of TIME Magazine www.time.com/time/magazine/article/0,9171,932876,00.html for November 16th. "Dr. Robertson placed groups of mice in a chamber and sprayed its air first with propylene glycol, then with influenza virus. All the mice lived. Then he sprayed the chamber with virus alone. All the mice died."

I think PG was also used in hospitals in the air conditioning systems to keep germs out of the air in the past, maybe it still is now but there were some studies/articles about it at the time. Also I can't remember where but I read PG had similar disinfecting properties to alcohol too even when diluted to some extent. I think this is a good argument for being able to vape anywhere (just disinfecting the air)

My reading of this is that by a combination of vaping and alcohol, we could live forever!

More importantly, instead of killing people with secondhand smoke we are preventing them getting sick with secondhand pg vapour. We would actually increase workplace attendance and increase productivity if we were allowed to vape at work. We would be followed around by people inhaling the health giving properties of our PG.

Since I started vaping, over 7 years ago, I've had very few colds - used to get at least 2 every year.
This morning, I woke up with a sore throat & swollen neck glands & I was pretty certain I was starting with a cold. Early days, I know, but so far no other symptoms have developed.

Since my vaping journey began I've noticed that colds that used to last up to a month (what with the coughing up green phlegm ) now are only a day or two of minor sniffles. Hayfever, that I've suffered with since I was a teenager hasn't been a problem either. In fact the past couple of years Ive not taken any medication for it at all.

I would love to agree, but this Autumn I have suffered a prolonged cold which I still have; it has lasted 6 weeks and shows no signs of abating yet. I do however not show the classic smoker's symptoms of a cold which goes onto my chest, giving me a wek of chronic cough and breathlessness, coupled with copious and unpleasant expectoration. I do wonder if my eschewing the properties of PG in the quest of more vaporous vaping has removed my defenses from the common cold?

Unfortunately articles like this invite ridicule. Based on a very old study, during a time when cigs were thought good for you. PG is mildly anti bacterial. If it had anti viral properties to a decent level, we would have found the miracle cure to prevent millions of deaths per year.
