ohms reading

is there anyone who can explain why my tank reads 0.10 ohms on my sx mini mclass and 0.14 on on my dna 40?
have 4 tanks all exactly same build ni200 8 wraps 28 AWG 3mm rod
all 4 are 0.10 on mclass and 0.14 on dna 40

I've noticed differences between mods and ohm readers. Not sure why.

I'm assuming you're using 28g wire? According to Steam Engine 7 wraps should achieve 0.1 and 10 wraps should achieve 0.14.

yeah 28 awg ni200
been fine in my mclass and i stick 40 both read 0.10
just got a dna 40 and now they all read 0.14

You are dealing in hundreths of an ohm here ... things like a dirty 510 connector can make a huge difference in the resistance reading

could it be the resistance between the bottom assembly and the mod ? sometimes I find I have higher resistance listed on the istick's display, removing the tank then giving it a dab with a bit of paper towel on the tank base and the mod fitting will lower the reading on the istick

could be your getting something similar happen, either juice residue or mild oxidation on one of the mods giving a higher reading, could be its not tuned as well so reads a touch high /

its the dna 40 
so it take that much of a diffrence in ohms  is not much to worry about?

oops, sorry, it`s the oldtimer`s setting in

It`s a big difference when you are using TC, I would take the battery out, give the 510 pin a good clean and manually push the pin in and out with something thin maybe with a few drops of iso or maybe even vodka. Failing that it sounds like a solder joint going dodgy.

Which DNA40 is it, that is a lot to be out for a temp limiting mod, around 110 F.

it is the hana modz dna 40 large screen version
i had a boxer dna 200  mod  a month ago and that was giving out exact same 0.14 reading on my tanks
both dna chips are reading 0.14
mclass and istick reading 0.10

It is probably the ground screw inside near the 510, take it out, clean it and clean the hole with a pipe cleaner or dental gap brush and IPA and reassemble. If the screw is not a dome head replace it with a dome head or put a washer between it and the ground ring.

dont really know about taking things apart
i just tried a uwell crown pre made coil it is the ni200 0.15 coil
put it in the dna 40 and it is reading 0.20
brand new mod and brand new tank and coil
