Hi all. Are there any tips or guidelines to follow for freezing my nic base. Should I sterilise my Amber bottles before I add the nic or just pour it in, up to the top, label it and pop in the freezer? Thankful for any advice you can give...
Cheers

It won't hurt to sterilise them although I never bothered with mine. Fill them to the brim to minimise air. Label em and that's about it

Cool. That's what I thought, was just going to fill em up and freeze them. I'm sure I've read somewhere of people sterilising them and treating the bottles to avoid air pockets. I'm ready to start stockpiling and wanted to check for any dos or don'ts first.

Do not fill to the brim but leave a gap by just filling below the neck. Reason is the Nic base contracts when cooling creating a vacuum at the top. If the top should let air in my leakage or permeating through the seal then over time the vacuum is replace by air. When you remove the bottle and let it come back up to room temperature any air seeping in will expand faster than it can escape and increase the pressure in the bottle and it may burst. Risk is low but is there.

I only sterlised my bottles coz they had champagne in them before I used them for storing nicotine otherwise I probably would have just washed them out. I also have left a little bit of a space in the bottle rather than filling right up with nic. When I take a bottle out of the freezer I put it in the fridge for a day or two before I store it in my vape cupboard. Anyone know if you can re-freeze nic? As I only use 0.1ml per 10ml at a time in some juices and zero nic in other juices even my small bottles of nic are lasting forever and I'm a little worried that the nic might go off.

Thanks, but I can't see anything on that thread about re-freezing nic. I'm asking about nic that's been frozen once - can I re-freeze it again. I've got my nic frozen in 200ml bottles and I took one of the bottles out of the freezer which is now in my vape cupboard, but it's gonna be in there for ages due to the small amount I'm now using. I want to know if I can re-freeze some of that nic before it goes off in my cupboard, it's already been in there for quite a while already.

yeah sorry you have to click the links to the various other threads thought-out there's so much info but that was the one I started with when I was looking ages ago and then rolled through the various others, from the info available a lot of people have said they re-freeze, but its better to just put it into the smaller amber glass bottles that you can then take out and use all in one go rather than constantly re-freezeing, its also a top tip to let the bottle come up to room temp fully before opeing to lessen the problems of the juie drawing in oxygen fro mthe air and using the thermal energy to oxidaite the nic, although it seems you can store for up to 5 years without any appreciable deteriation in small sealed bottles in the freezer, longer doesn't seem like such a good idea, and adding flavours is a no-no

Just buy from piratesvape and all ready to throw (place carefully lol) in the freezer. Costs a bit more but no hassle!
