If he did lets hope he uses a bit of common sense come the tpd, and chuck it in the bin where it belongs.

I tend to agree with you @zuza It's always healthy to be cynical with his type.

Hate to be a total cynic but he's probably talking about cig-a-likes as they will be far easier to collect tax from

The problem is that he can be "Pro-Vaping" even with TPD......there is no imminent ban on vaping post TPD, it is just that they get to choose what you vape. We all know what is coming, but dont forget that we vapers, that are aware of the TPD, are a mere drop in the ocean of the total people vaping right now. Probably 99% of today's vapers have not got a clue what is about to happen, many of which are probably using generation2 Ego type devices which they are probably finding satisfies their nicotine requirements. Prescription conforming devices may not be so much different to what they are using right now. This review from Todd does not look so bad for a beginner, of course, it does not compare to the 4th, 5th gen divices but for many, it will do!

hey if he leaves the advanced e-pipes and mods alone then were all safe ish you just know that they will be limiting new sales of the "simple" stuff to prescription only and limiting the supplies to a few thousand a year based on supply problems and "battery safety concerns" on top of which I fully expect them to announce nicotine juice concentrations getting a hefty tax levy in the coming months under the auspices of furthering the tobacco reduction initiatives .... in a few more years they will be shifting that tax burden onto tomatoes and peppers and all the other foods that contain nicotine /

I just get the feeling from the last few months that the tide is turning in our favour, as some have mentioned I would not be surprised if they don't just choose to leave us alone. I do think the TPD will come in, but like everything there will be loop holes. I still have the feeling they may try something with the Nic, even just to raise more revenue, but as for China sourced items , I honestly think it will be just as it has been.

Probably 99% of today's vapers have not got a clue what is about to happen, Around here, products that might well be banned have become the norm. iSticks a' plenty. Larger mods, you name it. Totally Wicked outsells the supermarkets and the supermarkets outsell the newsagent abomination that is E-Lites. Trouble is, the supermarkets are only selling Blu and, as I noticed today, Vivid. 99% of vapers (people who vape, not us, the crazy gang) don't know what is coming, but more than 1% will notice when 1) the shops shut down and 2) Blu and Vivid are the only choice. I am disappointed in Todd to be honest. Other than Vaping a BLU kit, that is just about scrapping the barrel. I detest these brands, not because the products are bad (bad in relation or bad per se) but what they are doing. In the UK, on social media BLU are supporting the TPD. (They don't want refillable e-cigs). In the US, where the FDA is planning a total wipe-out, BLU are asking people to sign up to CASAA and lobby their politicians to keep vaping 'free'.... What they want is 1) control to sell the most expensive systems and 2. domination over the bit-players (non-tobacco company products). I would have told Vivid to " " off and never darken my door. A starter kit with nowhere to go is just a starter kit. Too many will go back to smoking. Very Sad. Sad that Todd would get involved too.

The thing is Dave, the 99% of UK Vapers are already using something akin to the Blu or Vivid devices (ie. Ego Type or cigalike) You've rightly pointed out that we (forum) folk are in a niche and unfortunately that isn't representative of the masses. But, from an experience perspective, we had thousands of customers who from day 1 stuck with the basics (even carto's) and at the point of us shutting down were still ordering the same basics - week in week out. Personally, I've seen the e-cig world turn into something that I never envisaged and something that I no longer wanted to be involved in - our sole intention was a 'alternative to smoking', not a hobby or lifestyle. So, I fully respect everyone's rights to do their own thing, but can also see that in the long term it would be better to recommend the TPD compliant kits on offer to the 99% of the market that don't share our interests. Better that, than a high fail rate of people who simply don't want the hassle of the current myriad of products available.

Kinda of confirms my view from day one, stay low and it will pass us 1%, not kicking up a fuss with petition after petition saying hey look over here and see what we are doing but please leave our refillable tanks and us making nic e-juice on our kitchen tables alone please.
