more likely scrubbed from the records by the TCI stazi who have been actively trampling over anything positive about e-cigs, amazed that some of the recent ITV programs were allowed to have people using them during the episodes screened in the last few months, seems they have got a grip now though as more recent productions have started only showing people using the mhra approved items ....
not that i'm sceptical of their motives at all but product placement is all the rage and its big money to get something featured in a prime time program they cant be doing it for free now we all know the indi market is "bad" and the approved products are "good" (besides the indi market doesn't have the cash to pay for placements)

Nic base will be our biggest challenge. I really can't see that Chinese vendors will stop sending us 'gifts' or 'electrical components' if they can still make money from us. PG, VG, food flavourings, wire, wick and even RTAs and RDAs will all still be purchasable, but Nic base could be problematical in the longer term. What we are not addressing here though is the impact that the TPD will have on new vapers, and those still to renounce the evil weed. For new vapers of the future, they will be severely curtailed in the devices and methodology which they will be able to access, and this is the crying shame; we have a great marketplace which currently caters for all vapers new and old, but in 18 months time things will look very different, a change for the worse not the better. I don't want to be overly pessimistic, but I really can't see the TPD as a positive thing for current smokers

chykensano it wont be, banning all online forums and video's (and probably having the EU issue take down notices as well even if our own government doesn't) about e-cigs or vaping will greatly hamper product knowledge or the ability to gain community help and advice. I went through the stop smoking clinic 15 times in the last decade and not once did it work (the NRT products were nasty ineffective and generally gave me monster headaches) , I came to this forum after I had begun with a starter kit needing some help because of battery problems and a few months on I'm still vaping and with better gear to boot, the regulated licenced e-voke kit will deliver the exact same 2mg dose per puff that the Nicorette inhalator does from the exact same pg based liquid, resulting in the exact same throat burning problems and probably from the exact same to strong a puff mouthful of liquid problems as well.... there might be a way for things ot legally continue in a more underground capacity but that will not be a long term solution unless stop smoking uk or PHE gives communitites like this one a space to continue under the auspices of harm prevention and healthy lifestyle promotion .....of course we will likely be prevented from having sub forums direct from the vendors or mod makers or well anything other than the chit chat sections, but no doubt posting links for each other to better kit openly will also be banned ....essentially the TPD bends the entire vapeing industy (producers /vendors & consumers) over a desk and gives it a good seeing to up the ricker. there is still hope they will allow the online communities to continue as we aid each other and give advice that the clinics cant /wont give and we help each other at various times when the clinics are closed, they might even just turn a blind eye to us but that's not likely given the way the stasi are hammering the WHO FCTC obligations around ....

The proposed advertising restrictions; as I read them; will affect forums and meets and fests etc but only if they are sponsored by e-cig commercial interests.

I see no reason the forums will not continue as we are now. I'm not sure where the servers etc are for this forum, but the only possible change will be the ads at the top which I block anyway. As far as I know we are not sponsored and neither are UKV or POTV as far as I know. So we can continue in virtual bliss. Vapefest may be another issue as it is sponsored and paid for by vaping companies big and small. That's why it is free for us to attend.

If the ads are for non-e-cig products then I think vaping forums will be able to continue carrying them
