Give it 6 months and this will be the norm for manufacturers. It looks like a great innovative idea but I won't be an early adopter and I'll be waiting for the prices to become more appealing

If i was in the States i might be more tempted - can appreciate the price point for R&D and 'One Horse Pony' side of things - but then paying import duty on top - would be the issue for me. I hope that they manage to make their investment back - it does sound that they hadn't thought through the whole marketing thing and definitely hadn't expected the demand and speed of Vape News though. They are primarily engineers rather than marketing experts. As mentioned in the last video - as the chip doesn't require any peripherals (heads etc) only wicking material, the Chinese might not be as interested in copying it. If the tank is the 'Hardware', and the peripherals the coils etc, then most manufacturers make more money from the peripherals than the Hardware - and that won't be the case with this.

Yeah well when I think about how much I paid for a kf4 (which I hated) this in comparison isn't that bad. But I ain't buying it's a one time buy right now. It may be or it may last a good while though. All in though it's a great idea and hopefully will pave the future for the better

Also the CEO of Origin Vape did mention that the tank might not be the best design for filling - but top fill etc are being worked on

Trouble is by the time they do that vaping will have moved on. Just look at the speed of change in TC control. This will be the same.

Altus do seem to have been a tad naive in promoting a vaping 'Game changer' before being suitably prepared for the 'instant demand' of Shinyitis - and me want now factor of the Vaping Commnity LoL

More YT - featuring the CEO of Origin vapes who are the 'first' planned retailer - does go on a bit but more info - Warning Adult Language I agree with the host - it's a different business model and the price - even at £100 for a one purchase device - is understandable As I said earlier it will be a big problem in power mode with most YiHi (& Joyetec & probably lots of boards) boards (inc IPVs) see 0:12:00 mins in power mode. No point is hiding the TCR it is easy to measure by heating in oil while measuring the resistance. Maybe worth trying when a version 2 or 3 tank for people who don't vape lots of flavours at the same time. E: Then at 1:02:00 the say it's the other way around in vapes better at a fixed voltage with decreasing power, maybe they built it some compensation for for more basic boards at the expense of the better real-time power regulation designs. The slow ramp up time > 2 seconds has destroyed my interest for the moment.

If this device uses a ceramic plate to vaporise the juice it's basically another version of Vaping Donuts, which were a disaster due to slow ramp up times. I can't see this being that much different.
If there's one thing I can't stand it's having to take 'pre puffs' due to slow ramp up .

Long way of for me too, like the odd high watt lung hit blast from a dripper etc. but foremost I'm a MTL Kayfun flavour man... Tight air flow directly to small heating area, not really a frying pan, juiced cotton and funnel man....!
