I think there is little doubt that it will be probably a lot less than half that quoted price in six months time, interesting material though. Might even be something else out there using it already

Looking at the pictures of this thing, it is just a thin strip of wire embedded into some sort of ceramic material. While the idea is good, this thing will be copied in minutes, although the site says made in the USA. No doubt the triad gangs have their fingers in wherever this thing is made on the west coast.

Just watched the video, looks promising, large surface area should equal lots of clouds, hopefully lots of flavour too

Very little metal contact with the juice as well, if the enclosing material is safe it looks like a winner. Price will plummet pretty quickly I would think. Doesn`t look that difficult to make or clone. Someone will probably make one with wire contacts to use in existing atties as well.

The site says over a dozen patents, which I'm sceptical about. Possibly something to do with the manufacturing process rather than the finished article, but that's a lot of patents for such a simple item.

i found it interesting that the inventor vapes @ 150C-185C. the metal element internal to the square casing Must be a metal currently used for TC as the atty was run on a snow wolf, with no mention of s/w upgrade ...
its an interesting development alright.

Stick a couple of wires on it and it should be usable in a dripper.

When you actually stop and look at this idea, it is very clever. I also wondered why it had such a complicated connection, rather than a wire that could be connected to existing atties. This is just a guess, but the connection part is actually a heat sink. If you look at the internal wire it narrows above the connection point, and when heating this part will heat the most. Heat is not good for the connection as it would soon gunk up and require cleaning, and also create a poor connection. So the more heat that can be dissipated from this region the better. Clever.

Im no technician but i would have thought that if you have 2 bits of wire dangling out of this chip as soon as you put power through it the wire leads will pop like fuse wire.
