Bitcoin - Anybody used this payment type

Noticed on FT that some items are Bitcoin payment only. I was looking at RBA SSOCC for Atlantis I think.

Have followed Bitcoin half heartedly over the years and had considered it all rather risky. Some disasters in the past. So, anybody been brave?

I have always been too worried about forgetting/losing my wallet key. Without that you are stuffed big time as all the money would be locked with no way of recovering the key. Unlike physical banks you can't just rock up and say you want to withdraw your money. Plus it seems to be a very volatile currency with big ups and downs compared to other currencies such as the US$.

From memory with those items, place an order for similar priced items
Cancel the order and get a gift certificate
Use the gift certificate to buy the items

It was something to do with the manufacturers kicking off and paypal refusing to accept payments for the items

Yes, don't bother with Bitcoin, it's any Aspire stuff sold by FT - just do as Lee says above

I've not risked it and do the work-around system.

Seems easier to do that to me, I must say.

I have used in the past for errrr darker parts of the web but so very complicated to use i needed help on working it all out TBH
not sure i would/could ever use it again.

Yes, just done that this morning to buy an Aspire Cleito for twelve and a half quid.

Unless you have a few super computers to have a go at Bitcoin mining it is not worth buying Bitcoins because the value of them is so volatile. Just pay with good old cash.
