I bought it for £30 one month before I was 17 and polished it every week until my birthday when my Dad sat next to me for my first drive, I kept it for 9 months (it had 9 months tax/mot) the clutch went just before the MOT was due so I traded it for a '63 Viva and got £20 back for it.

You were well paid, I got £4 10s for a 44hr week when I left school, I still managed to buy, insure, tax & run a Vespa 125

mine was a vauxhall viva, hand-me-down ex-family car when parents got a new one. It must have been one of the last on an N plate, just before the chuvvitt came in and replaced it

Loved the Vauxhall with the sweep back tails. Sorry no pics.

My first car was a talbot ti sunbeam then moved on to a lotus sunbeam, iv still got my lotus sunbeam all restored and in original condition stored away with my good old mk1 ford Mexico.

My first car was a Ford Anglia(105e) 1200, which I later fitted a 1600gt Cortina engine/ front suspension/ brakes, a 2000e gearbox and rear axle, was a ford nut used to love how easy it was to swap bits from all the ford models at the time. went from the Anglia to a mk 2 lotus Cortina, oh how I wish I still had that.
