FT shipping batteries bye bye

The only option to get batteries sent to the UK is Sweden post

We feel pity to notify you that the registered airmail of Sweden Post cannot ship external batteries (including power banks) temporarily due to there are batteries or power banks exploded during shipping via Sweden Post recently.

FastTech is now looking for a new service to ship external batteries. Once the new service is ready, we will ship your order via the new shipping service.

For the orders which haven't been shipped, we would like to suggest you to cancel the external batteries or power banks from your order. We can ship the rest items via registered airmail of Singapore Post which will faster than Sweden Post. If you prefer to cancel the entire order, we will issue refund immediately.

We will send an notification email within 24 hours to customers whose orders are waiting to be packaged now. Please kindly let us know your choice via the ticket.

Shall you have any further questions about this issue, please feel free to let us know by replying to this thread or creating a ticket. We will answer as soon as possible.

I have had an rx200 and three batteries showing as received but not dispatched over seas with Sweden post since the 24th

Cancelled my four and Gearbest reckon that they shipped four 2 days back by Sweden...some hopes?


Good reason to bring production to UK because its hazardous stuff.

GearBests SwedenPost option is surface mail so you should be alright... just slow

Phew my LG He4's arrived the other day from FT via Sweden post, I can see where they are coming from though as i watch or have watched most Air crash investigation on the Discovery channel, and i can tell you there have been quite a few losses of aircraft/crew and unbelievably passengers due to Li-on and Li-Poly's going into thermal runaway in flight. Even Boeing got it wrong with the charger used to re-charge the aircraft's Lipoly's on the Dream=Liner initially, luckily they all happened on the ground.

I should think there's a major review going on to determine if they can even be shipped on cargo aircraft now.

Mind you at least FT package their's well. i was not impressed when i bought some from GB which were just loose

FT needs like a EU warehouse or something. Just ship tons of their stuff over here and charge us a couple of extra pence per item shipped from the EU, I'd be happy with that.

I've received the same message from ft regarding a tesla nano I'd slipped into a recent order.

I guess that means until they find alternative means to deliver, all fixed battery mods will be on hold, as well as batteries...

as Q mentioned above gearbest use ground via sweden post.

mod took 9 days by air
batteries for mod took 27 day via sweden post

GearBest told me today they had just found out about SP and NL might work...whatever NL is?

guys why not plan a group buy on batterys from eu.nkon.nl/
more bought cheaper gets and well they be here faster
and only pay one shipping

just did a wee test order 50 vtc5s for 5 folks would be around 35 to door
thats including 1st class recorded at our end 10 bats each for that price is ok i think

other bats are cheaper also could work out well just an idea

10 vtc5s from ft works out 45£
