The only time I don't care about insomnia.  Qually was absolutely awful, the race should be better. At least McLaren aren't starting last.

jess Good win for Rosberg. Thank goodness they are reverting to the old qualifying system. I also read they have banned the use of rip-off visors.

The Alonso crash was terrifying, the worst since McNish in 2011. It is a real tribute to the engineers that Alonso just walked away

It was a good win, @kopiert & not a bad race overall. The crash was truly horrifying though & amazing once you saw movement & Alonso was out catching his breath. Raikkonen's hot headed moment was quite spectacular too!

So pleased that just about all views on the ridiculous qualifying were against it, for sure it had to be scrapped & good riddance. Was amazed that just an hour before the race, the rules on radio use were relaxed. For a so called high finance professional sport, they really did cock up the start off this season.

Will be a great season if Ferrari keep taking places at the start forcing the Mercs to overtake. Having the extra tyre compound and single clutch made far more difference than the silly quali. It should have been Vettel's race, good to see Williams and Has getting good results and progress at McLaren. Ch4 internet offering is like the 3rd world compared to the BBC and the FIA timing web page keeps freezing my PC, Bernie's version of ransom ware .

Unfortunately didn't get to see the race, but qualifying was terrible, quite liked horners idea of 4 different quali formats for 1st 4 weeks and see what works best.
Is the rip off visors thing true, if so that seems crazy to me. It's important they see as clearly as poss.

They postponed the visor rule for a few races so they can put something in the cars to put the old one in, apparently it was because Alonso's breaks overheated when one blocked the break cooler.

Well, thank you very much to the idiotic a*******s powers that be in F1 that came up with the idea for this qualifying format & after the shambolic display last time, chose to keep it for this race. For the first time since qualifying was televised, I switched off.

ETA: I was typing, Perpetua. I'll bet you're thinking.... why did I bother? !!
