Had a real race today. First one (proper) for an age.
Ferrari getting close. Vettel is an outstanding driver. Impressed with his launch. He really showed the others how to start. Bad call on the 2 stop strategy, or he would have won.
Hamilton showing Rosberg how to win a race (again). Williams and Red Bull back in the mix.
Would like to see McLaren up their game a bit. But an improvement on last season all round.
Me likey.

Surely Nico didn't think he was going to be world champion?
Two races without reliability issues for Lewis and he has demonstrated that he is the far superior driver and all but taken care of the lead Rosberg had.
Best out and out racer since Senna.

Indeed BrenD, take out Hamilton, Vettel, Ricciardo and a few others, and he would still struggle to win.

Rosberg gets away with it again. Tried to take Hamilton out but came off worst. Gets a 10 sec penalty that changes nothing. Team orders required. I hate team orders, but that was foul play.
Good race apart from that. Well done Jensen Button and Pascal Wherlein.

Merc did their best to fix that one with the dodgy stops for Lewis, but even if they want to hand the title to Nico, they won't be able to. I'll go a step further than whatever I said about him after the last race, he's nothing more than an average driver trading on daddy's name.

I didnt believe all the hype around Merc and them trying to fix it for Rosberg, but after this last collision it's obvious they are on Rosbergs side. The guy didn't even attempt to turn which says it all, even with the excuse from Wolfe saying Rosberg had brake issues into that corner (handy that eh!) you can still turn a bloody steering wheel lol.
Rosberg just doesn't have the ability, Hamilton out drives him everytime, so now Rosberg knows his only chance is to take him out at every attempt. Very poor show from the stewards, as that should have resulted in at least a drop in grid position at the next GP ( Silverston lol)
And as for the Austrian's booing Hamilton on the podium, i guess the same welcome will be given to Rosberg should he end up there without cheating. It will be interesting to see if Hamiltons car issues return now.

That's what I meant. As you say, Lewis will always beat him in a fair race, however Merc try to sway it. Nico can't race with him wheel to wheel. It's not like we haven't seen it before.

I've given up watching F1. More of the top drivers acting like petulant school children whilst earning an obscene amount of money for chucking their toys out the pram.

Chaos 'rained' but a Brit won out to cheer the cockles & all those that got wet. The monsoons at Austria were far more impressive as far as the weather goes though.

Why did Rosberg get info when Hamilton did not last week?

Tactics. Giving rosberg the info meant he finished, even if he was penalised as he was, and moved back to third. Had they not done so he would likely have retired or dropped back even further and lost even more constructor points for the team. I doubt there was some sort of conspiracy to favour Rosberg over Hamilton.
